To show you what a few traffic-stopping Mumsnetters got up to in the sun today?

These were the scenes outside hot and sunny Belfast City Hall earlier today as quite a few Mumsnetters joined thousands of other people in stopping the traffic for Noah Donohoe.

I'll post a few more photos too.

With thanks to Belfast photographer Brendan Harkin for these three. Noah's mother Fiona is in the first one.

Fantastic turn out! Couldn't be there as on holiday but was there in spirit.

picklemewalnuts · 13/08/2022 18:14

What a fabulous turn out! Well done, organisers.

saraclara · 13/08/2022 18:14

Wow! I've been reading your threads but haven't commented up to now. But that is a fantastic crowd. Surely the powers that be can't continue to ignore you all.

Amazing turnout!

To be honest, I couldn't believe my eyes. I was shaking my head in disbelief at the sheer numbers and have to admit to shedding an unmumsnetty tear.

Well done, organisers.
Fiona and her sister Niamh Donohoe mainly, but with help from countless others.

Wonderful to see. It's outrageous the way they've treated that poor family. From the photos and the things I've read from his mother etc, Noah looked and sounded like such a lovely boy.

BelfastsChild · 13/08/2022 18:34

With thanks to Mairead. The first one has Niamh centre and Fiona left:

I was wondering how it had gone today so I'm very pleased to see this.

Myshitisreal · 13/08/2022 18:52

My heart 💙 such a turnout

BelfastsChild · 13/08/2022 19:06

As is always the way with some of the media when it comes to Noah, I've seen it being underreported as 'hundreds' and 'over a thousand' but, as the BBC and others say, as the photos show and as people there saw with their own eyes, it was thousands.

Really heartened to see this and I hope it gives the authorities the massive kick up the jacksy the bastards deserve.

I’m in London, so couldn’t attend, but I’m so happy the turnout was huge. 👏

gelatogina · 13/08/2022 19:32

This is wonderful, I live in England now but I wish I could have been there to support.

the truth will out.

BelfastsChild · 13/08/2022 19:36

The road was left open at first, but the sheer numbers in the crowd closed it by default. When the police then announced they'd closed it 'for an event' - not even being able to say Noah's name, apparently - a few people, very peacefully but clearly, gave them the message. Sorry everyone, it looks like we have unceremoniously and without warning been kicked out of AIBU and the vote option taken off. Some seem to be a little report button and trigger happy unfortunately, and lacking in generosity of spirit. We won't let them get us down, will we? 💙

On the right in the first photo is SDLP Councillor Lilian Seenoi-Barr who spoke at the rally and organised one of the buses. With thanks for these to Paul, Paul and Charlene:

It's a huge turn out!

Thank you for your support, @picklemewalnuts - nice thought. Noah Donohoe can trend several days in a row on Twitter, but as we're apparently not allowed on the main boards such as AIBU now on here, we certainly won't be allowed in trending!
