To show you what a few traffic-stopping Mumsnetters got up to in the sun today?

These were the scenes outside hot and sunny Belfast City Hall earlier today as quite a few Mumsnetters joined thousands of other people in stopping the traffic for Noah Donohoe.

I'll post a few more photos too.

That's incredible! I really hope the public pressure advances the campaign. Bumping for the evening crowd.

liveforsummer · 13/08/2022 20:56

I'm here because it came up in active . As did your previous post earlier today where I spent some time down the rabbit hole. Can't believe you've been moved twice!

BelfastsChild · 13/08/2022 20:58

Fantastic turn out! Couldn't be there as on holiday but was there in spirit.
Thank you @bluekostree - I know a lot of people were there in spirit. Some asked for their names to be written on blue ribbons and tied to the railings - lovely.

Wow, what an amazing turnout! Fingers crossed the PSNI bastards or somebody higher up actually takes notice and gets things moving.

viques · 13/08/2022 21:08

Amazing turnout! I hope things start to move.

Firefly86 · 13/08/2022 21:10

💙

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 13/08/2022 21:11

💙 a fantastic turn out💙

A message to those intent on keeping everything quiet that his Mam and those who support her will not be quiet. 💙

Firefly86 · 13/08/2022 21:11

How do we complain to mnhq about the thread moving. It's a disgrace. 😡

picklemewalnuts · 13/08/2022 21:16

You are coming up on my 'front page' though- the equivalent of trending.
Just not via IABU.

BelfastsChild · 13/08/2022 21:34

How do we complain to mnhq about the thread moving. It's a disgrace. 😡
Please do email them at [email protected] but I should warn you that people have been asking them in vain for months to get behind this mother. That's what MN is meant to be about at its heart, isn't it, supporting parents and making their lives easier? Instead they allow personal attacks, deliberate derailments and trouble-causing to stand on threads, and seem to take more notice of the negative reporters. Being sent to the hidden Classifieds section is a bit of an insult to this mother and to the many decent Mumsnetters who post on the threads to support her. But thanks to the support of those decent many Mumsnetters, we won't let it get us down, will we?

Wonderful turn-out. Thank you for all the photos.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr · 13/08/2022 21:48

This support is so good to see.

EmeraldShamrock1 · 13/08/2022 21:49

What a turn out.

It was a spectacular emotional experience.

I know so many there today never met him but they'll never forget him, sweetheart Noah.

Very proud of all of Noah's army near or far away the support was felt by all today.

BelfastsChild · 13/08/2022 21:52

You're very welcome @CatChant - I've tried to post a decent cross section. I'll try to post a few more as and when I can.

You came up on my active feed otherwise I wouldn't have seen this thread.

Well done to everyone keeping Noahs name out there. My heart breaks for his mother.

BelfastsChild · 13/08/2022 21:57

Beautiful post and sentiment, thank you, @EmeraldShamrock1 ☘

Well done, everyone involved. Why the hell has this thread been moved??

EscapeRoomToTheSun · 13/08/2022 22:00

@mnhq why has the thread been moved? Seems a bit mean spirited.

Wonderful turnout, well done x

BelfastsChild · 13/08/2022 22:05

Yes, it will come up momentarily in Active @Pixiedust1234 @picklemewalnuts @liveforsummer while the thread is new when somebody posts on it, but that's the only time people will see it. If it's not in Active it won't be seen, unlike threads in AIBU or Chat which are also seen in those topic lists. We'll do the best we can though!

What a fantastic turn out ! So pleased to see people power in action. Well done to everyone involved. Justice for Noah !

RhannionKPSS · 13/08/2022 22:12

Bumping! This deserves to be seen in AIBU, it’s Mumsnet who are being unreasonable for moving this.

BelfastsChild · 13/08/2022 22:15

Can anybody remind me how many images I can post in a day please? I seem to remember there is a limit but I've never needed to know it till now.

Givenitarest · 13/08/2022 22:24

Great to see such support. I have read your previous threads and admire your persistence, courage and determination. I hope the protest today will move things forward and you get some answers about your beautiful boy. It's shocking how you've been treated.

BelfastsChild · 13/08/2022 22:26

But that is a fantastic crowd. Surely the powers that be can't continue to ignore you all.
Thank you @saraclara - I think they thought Fiona, Niamh and everyone would all have quietened down and gone away by now, but the opposite has happened. The family's determination and the support for Fiona and concern about Noah has grown. The application for and granting of the Public Interest Immunity Certificate - to keep information about Noah's disappearance and death secret - has thankfully backfired on the police and government. They have gone too far this time. As seen by the numbers of ordinary people turning out today, many members of the public think it is outrageous.
