Self-conscious about saying certain words

Does anyone else forget how to correctly pronouce a certain word repeatedly and then deliberately not use it out of fear of mispronouncing?

My word is placate. I always forget whether it is a hard C or an S sound, so I never use it even if I want to!

I do this all the time but unfortunately only remember I don't know how to pronounce it as the first syllable is coming out of my mouth.

They come out wrong when I say them. Eg. Tiger comes out Tay-get, and I can hear it’s wrong, but can’t seem to pronounce it correctly.

i’m sure there’s more. Always been slightly self-conscious on how I speak.
