Vardy would presumably have to find a few hundred thousand more to pursue an appeal, with the risk of losing and having to pay out even more costs. It would be an incredibly big risk to take.

My goodness, I just read through that whole 75 page judgement. Well, I skim read/skipped through the middle parts, which were essentially the Whatsapp messages between Vardy and Watts available which Vardy had lied about in evidence. Vardy must be really ignorant of how basic technology works to think she would not be caught out. Pretending that your phone fell in the sea by accident, or that you lost a laptop to try and hide evidence is not a good defence.

How on earth could anyone Vardy even think about appealing after receiving that judgement?!? I'm not a legal eagle, but even I can see it's branded Vardy a complete liar who sells stories on anyone and anything. I'd imagine anyone famous will be keeping their distance from her from now on, and rightly so.
