Suddenly gone very dark here and a rumble of thunder

I'm in Dublin and I've just had to turn a light on in this room. I'm hoping for a good downpour as otherwise I might have to water the hydrangeas myself and the hose doesn't reach that far.

Loads more rumbles now.

Down in Devon, grown darker since this morning! Now rain has officially started and frankly This is the happiest I’ve been for rain, the humidity was getting to me this morning at 28 degrees but it’s finally dropping now ! Yay!

I’m hoping for a good downpour here in the next few days, the garden is parched.

I’m counting down the hours till 9pm when the temperature is meant to drop to 21 degrees here so I can get the windows open and get some fresh air through the house.

Lucky you. We were forecast rain for several hours starting early tomorrow morning and a max temperature of 18 but the rain's disappeared from the forecast completely, with temp of 23........ 😠

Almost constant rumbles now, but the gently rolling type not the loud crack followed by rumble type, so I think any lighting might be high up. No sign of rain yet but still very dark.

Oh gosh. It’s 38 here. I love a good storm. I’m jealous!

I'm jealous. I'm about 50k from you (or more, depending on where in Dublin you are), and thunderstorms are forecast for around 2pm here. I can't wait!

A good solid rainfall now, not the heaviest I've seen but good enough for the hydrangeas.

I sounds exactly the same as my white noise that I use to help me fall asleep (called 'heavy rain with rolling thunder') so if I stop posting it's because I'm having a nice nap.

Well, that was disappointing. Down to a drizzle already and the thunder is getting more distant. Might have to water the hydrangeas myself tomorrow. It hasn't even cooled the air that much.

DH is working in Dublin, getting loads of thunder where he is. It's just got very dark here, had a wee rumble a few minutes ago, really hoping for a full-on storm

I’m in Guildford and it’s still a zillion degrees. Luckily we are at the ice rink and it’s so cold I’m wearing a jumper!
