Most underrated Disney films?

Hi

We’re going to Disney World soon (my 6th time, but first for DC), so we’re watching Disney films a lot to get in the mindset! I have two boys who aren’t massively into the princess films, although they have watched them. I have found they love Hercules and Tarzan - ones you never hear people talk about. I also can’t remember any rides or attractions or merchandise for them at Disney. I love them too - really feel-good and great music. The 90s Disney films were fab.

Any other underrated Disney films I should watch with them?

Basil the great mouse detective is a good one.

Theawkwardblonde · 17/07/2022 19:24

The black cauldron. No one I ever talk to know it. It terrified me as a kid!

Inside out is just fantastic in my opinion.

I'd watch a few of the older films with them if they haven't already seen them, Dumbo, Peter Pan, Snow White, Winnie the Pooh. These all have rides themed around them which they will probably enjoy more if they're familiar with the characters.

Zootropolis

Clarabella72 · 17/07/2022 19:27

We love Coco here and also the new Chip and Dale movies

MadMadMadamMim · 17/07/2022 19:28

Agree with watching the older ones. Robin Hood is my favourite! Also, Sword in the Stone.

JustPickleRick · 17/07/2022 19:28

Big hero 6! I love Baymax ❤️

Unbored · 17/07/2022 19:29

Pirates of the Caribbean is based on a Disney ride so worth a watch, depending on age.

CampervanQueen · 17/07/2022 19:29

Robin hood is great

Fireflygal · 17/07/2022 19:29

I think they would enjoy Mulan

GlitchStitch · 17/07/2022 19:29

Tangled, was overshadowed by Frozen but much better imo, the TV series is great too.

mnahmnah · 17/07/2022 19:31

Thanks!

They have seen a lot of those, but some great reminders! Definitely Chip n Dale because they pop up a lot over there. They are curiously resistant to Peter Pan, but I will try again. Sword in the Stone, definitely will!

Luca is a fab film. Didn’t really get the coverage turning red and the like did but it’s a lovely little film

mnahmnah · 17/07/2022 19:32

@GlitchStitch I totally agree. I am not a Frozen fan! But I liked Tangled a lot. Loved Brave too.

Tangled and Brave

ladymalfoy45 · 17/07/2022 19:33

Sword in the Stone, The Black Cauldron and , Robin Hood.

mnahmnah · 17/07/2022 19:33

@Unbored I have been on it many times! The youngest is 5, so not might be a bit much for him. But just a bit of it would set the ride up for him

Emperor’s new groove is under rated, but there’s nothing about it in the parks
