Pie place near us does sweet and savoury pies and for the sweet, does build your own pie-scream sundaes so I’ve just eaten a slice of banana cream pie, caramel sauce smashed up with vanilla ice cream and toasted pecans

I've discovered I like soft boiled eggs cut in half with soy sauce drizzled in this week. Apart from that, probably the summer pudding I made yesterday.

Slight cheat as I'm in Rome but pasta with just water, pecorino and salt. Sounds grim but was creamy and delicious.

Venison dhansak- pack of venison from the freezer that needed using (can’t go shopping) plus on day 9 of covid and am only just starting to taste again so anything flavourful is good.

BestIsWest · 13/07/2022 17:31

A salad made with sliced peppers, red onions, ginger, chilli, coriander, mint and lime juice. We had it with wraps and some spicy chicken. It was so good we had it again the next day.

I’ve not had one this week, but they’re blooming lovely.

iceland you say? Wink

I make that and it’s delicious.

Could I be cheeky and ask the quantities of water v pecorino?

We had a food tour yesterday and I'm gobsmacked that, according to our Italian guide, they rarely eat other cuisines. She'd never tried Indian or Thai food and had had Chinese once. I like Italian food a lot but I love eating different foods.

Hi. Was it a food tour of Trastevere. I’ve been on a few and they’re very good.

if you google a recipe for Cacio e Pepe you’ll find what your looking for. You’ll have a better idea than I do of how many people your cooking for and can work out the quantities accordingly.

Buon Appetito🍷
