Pie place near us does sweet and savoury pies and for the sweet, does build your own pie-scream sundaes so I’ve just eaten a slice of banana cream pie, caramel sauce smashed up with vanilla ice cream and toasted pecans

Sweet: butterscotch milkshake

Savoury: pasta in a cheese, leek and courgette sauce. Simple but delicious.

I made these cinnamon swirls yesterday and they were absolutely delish 😋

I made Fajitas, and wanted to serve it with something i haven't tried before, so after some googling i found recipes for Mexican Corn Salad. It was bloody divine.

Freshly made ricotta spinach ravioli with grated Parmesan on top. Heaven!

Had a lovely vegetable massaman dish from a takeaway on holiday in Cornwall last week.

Also had a lovely smoked salmon and scrambled eggs breakfast this morning at the hotel with tea and fresh fruit salad.

The broccoli and cheese soup I've just eaten was amazing!

Whole broccoli, an onion and chicken stock boiled and blitzed

Hunk of nettle cheese (left over from our wedding cheese) and some blue Stilton melted in

Served with a wedge of lidl bread. Yum!

A really really good Mr whippy ice cream with a flake in the heat of the day

Hi. Was it a food tour of Trastevere. I’ve been on a few and they’re very good.

Yes it was. Although I've had it again tonight in Travestevere and it was disappointing. Plain pasta with some grated cheese on top. Even my carbonara is better than that. That'll teach my husband for insisting we go to the restaurant his Spanish colleague recommended...

I also love unctuous Brie and grapes, freshly baked croissants and mozzarella, avocado and tomato salad. All very healthy and low fat.

Oops typo on the place name

Ooh yes but only if it's a single? Double cone gets a bit much.

Waitrose frozen lasagne

resuwen · 13/07/2022 21:12

Ploughman's lunch for dinner today! It was brilliant.

JumpTheGun · 13/07/2022 21:13

A basque cheesecake which was like a hybrid of cheesecake and creme brûlée and utterly divine

Alwayspaintyournails · 13/07/2022 21:22

Beef fillet with prune spice rub, crispy shallots with an amazing sticky sauce and rosemary and sea salt chips. It was amazing but sadly a ten hour drive from home!

Holymole · 13/07/2022 21:25

I had really delicious roast lamb in a restaurant on Sunday - the roast potatoes were the best I've ever had and I suspect they'd deep fried them....

bluechameleon · 13/07/2022 21:26

Summer pudding and cream.

TokyoTen · 13/07/2022 22:10

Toasted sesame bagel with full fat cream cheese and big juicy blueberries on top.

Dartmoorcheffy · 13/07/2022 22:13

A house burrito in Tortilla at Bristol Airport. Absolutely amazing for airport food and cheap too!

Hyvsvaar · 13/07/2022 22:16

Homemade cherry and banana frozen yoghurt

hash browns 🤣

Luna42 · 13/07/2022 22:18

I had baked sweet potato, coated in olive oil, pepper, herbs and paprika, so crispy skin, with home made tandoori chicken, salad and a dollop of crème fraiche. It was a thrown together tea but tasted absolutely delicious. This may be because I'm trying to lose weight and not eating in between meals though!

Goodskin46 · 14/07/2022 02:36

DH's tofu Thai green curry.

RedRec · 14/07/2022 03:50

This afternoon. Two slices of a really lovely seeded bread with unsalted butter, German smoked cheese and Branston pickle on.

Whiskers4 · 14/07/2022 07:34

Mine is going to sound so basic, a slice of buttered toast - I hardly have it.

Aerodactyl · 14/07/2022 07:52

MY DP made me a sea bass burger with avocado, salad leaves from the garden and garlic aoli with a waldorf salad and corn on the cob side. It was amazing!!!

TeddyTed · 14/07/2022 07:58

I went to my mum and dad’s last night and we had a barbecue. My dad did thick slices of halloumi but baked in the oven rather than grilled on the barbecue (he added something before baking but I can’t remember what now). It was absolutely gorgeous!
