What’s the best thing you’ve eaten so far this week?

Pie place near us does sweet and savoury pies and for the sweet, does build your own pie-scream sundaes so I’ve just eaten a slice of banana cream pie, caramel sauce smashed up with vanilla ice cream and toasted pecans

I made ratatouille and had a green, olive and feta cheese salad with it.

A Fab ice lolly. But I'm lamenting the fact they've gone all natural with the colourings now and don't have the neon sprinkles from days of yore 😔

Had the house to myself all day yesterday so I had great snacks planned. Pastries like pain au chocolat and pecan plaits, sausage rolls, some mini quiches etc. Made a charcuterie board with lovely cheeses and fruit and picked at them all day.

It was our anniversary yesterday and DP made us that and garlic butter sirloin steaks with roasted broccoli. It was soooo good.

Unfortunately the little Herbert’s liked it too so there are no leftovers today - hmpfh!

I can't decide between:-

Cherry and Vanilla ice cream, from the Italian Ice cream bike that comes to the market place near to where we live.

Or

Nigella's Watermelon, Feta, Olive and Mint salad- we have had it three times this week!

A Tim Horton's ring doughnut. It hasn't been much of a week for eating a lot, but that doughnut hit the spot the other day.

Any particular sort of jam? I can just about imagine it with gooseberry... but don't fancy it!

I think the best things I've eaten this week were ripe cherries and nectarines, it's that time of year.

I've been trying as many different GF things they have here in the UK that they don't have in my country while I'm over here - best thing this week was GF scampi and GF mozzarella sticks. Not fancy but oh my word when its something you can't ever get, it tastes amazing.

Fried halloumi. It was lush.

Gali's melon purchased from a seller at the side of the road in Crete. It's amazing!

Giant prawns with fresh spaghetti, garlic and chilli oil- but I was in Majorca !

To celebrate my first day of testing Covid-free, I had a tiger bread baton filled with hot Cajun blackened chicken, humous and cucumber slices. I'll suffer for it (bread hates me), but it was delicious.

Salad, ham, mango and chili chutney and a baked potato with lashings of butter!!

Fresh cherries

A drugs rep brought Chinese food in for everyone to have lunch whilst he harped on about this ‘wonder drug’. We all throughly enjoyed the delicious beef in black bean sauce with Singapore noodles whilst listening politely knowing that half of our patients are already on this drug as it is actually effective.

Ds2 made enchiladas last night. They weee pretty good.
