Boris Johnson might think he's been super clever here by not resigning (assuming the conspiracy theorists are right) so he can stand again. But doesn't that rely on him getting enough backers to get on the ballot etc etc? How many would he need again? Would he get that easily? So many questions!

They are both thick enough to be encouraging him to think he can pull it off. Johnson is even more surrounded now by sycophants than he was previously.
