For a minute I read that as average age of Young Conservatives as late 50s!! Wouldn't surprise me

As I pondered up thread, I think, at the very least, he's going to try to change the optics that he left of his own choice.

Yesterday's statement was all about blaming others and not himself. The official photograph that were released inside no 10 could have been photos of him coming in number 10 celebrating election victory. Coupled with the reference to how some of the public will be sad. Can't remember Brown, Blair, May, Major, Cameron or even Thatcher saying that.

What you might have expected, considering the circumstances, was him driving off with a teary look, covered in shame.

So my guess he can hope he leaves in autumn looking like the wonderful pm he is on his own head, smiling and waving "yes I was marvellous, but I really must leave now"

I wonder if there is a divorce lawyer finding out Carrie Johnson's contacts? Thinking it's not long until his or her services could be needed.

It's difficult to understand/empathise with what motivated her in the first place. Ditto Melania

I don't really want to dis women for getting involved with men for what status they can give you etc but both the Donald and Boris Johnson are both so objectively unattractive physically and personally. Is it the old "I'm the one who can change them?" I don't know.

Or rather I don't like to fall into that easy trope of assuming that's why a woman gets involved with certain men

I know a fair few people who have worked with Boris and most of them do acknowledge that he’s A. Very intelligent B. Pretty charismatic. The bumbling baffoon act is just that, an act.

I saw that, interesting language. Disruptor is generally used in reference to bots and troll farms as far as I’m aware.
