The new chancellor's wife runs a riding school :
Just saying !

He wouldn't even be here now if Priti-awful Patel and this government had been in charge at the time.

I honestly thought it was a joke when I read he'd sacked Gove and had to check

The creature's lost his mind ...

I actually heard the word arse mentioned in PMQs today. Sadly the world is going literally mad.

In all fairness was it not Kier Starmer quoting directly the words of Chris Pincher’s victim? So a slightly different context to for example calling someone an arse

It is all a bit surreal, isn't it?

Finally found somewhere I can voice my thoughts on this! DH isn’t as interested as me.

I’m beginning to wonder what it’ll take for Boris to resign?!

I think it’s generally agreed now that there’s nothing that will make him resign. It’s debatable whether a vonc would make any difference since he’s probably already settled into a victim mentality and believes he’s mandated by god the public to stay by any means necessary.

the80sweregreat · 06/07/2022 23:01

This is becoming like a Shakespearian tragedy.

Careful with the hairdresser stuff, we don't want the thread pulled!

Legally speaking, it's absolutely fine as there is 'allegedly' in there.

The Mail describing a "mutiny".
Not too long before Conservative MPs are called the Enemies of the People...

Braverman's finally come off the fence and says she thinks he must resign.

Braverman's finally come off the fence and says she thinks he must resign.

Is that her expert legal opinion?

Because normally she says what Johnson wants to hear

curiousitygotthebetterofme · 06/07/2022 23:03

Ok so it doesn’t look like BJ is going to resign?

I’m fully away with my mafia-esq conspiracy now and believe these headlines are coded threats if he doesn’t pull this off Grin

Boris and Nadine against the world.

It’s madness… I’m half expecting the Queen to go live on the TV tomorrow and say something like “Come on now this just won’t do…”

Im not but in all seriousness I hope she gives him a right bollocking…

Blossomtoes · 06/07/2022 23:03

Oh ffs, they’ve dug up Bone for Newsnight now. He’s beyond delusional.

tobee · 06/07/2022 23:04

What's the point though Suella? What's the point of them all saying he should resign? When we know he won't? It's got to be them doing the resigning to possibly make a difference

AmaryIlis · 06/07/2022 23:05

Braverman also saying she would stand for the leadership.

I suspect she can expect the sack sooner rather than later

So it looks like the 1922 Committee, change the rules and a VONC

I bet if he wins by 1 vote, he would still hang on.

What would happen if Tory MPs didn't vote for their own Governments bills in Parliament? Or just abstained.

YogaLite · 06/07/2022 23:08

@the80sweregreat 😂

PeppaPigIsBacon · 06/07/2022 23:08

@cakeorwine They could lose the party whip, I think, but if that happened it wouldn’t take too long before BJ was running a minority government and then couldn’t get anything through.

cakeorwine · 06/07/2022 23:02

Basically she's terribly sad about it, tbut there have been too many cock-ups over the last week (!) including ministers being sent out to lie for Boris, he hasn't got the support of the party and he needs to go.

At least she remembers a bit from her constitutional law lectures and is not buying his 14 million vote mandate rubbish.
