"Just getting my chocolate out of the fridge; the place it should always be kept..."

OP posts:
Squiff70 · 05/07/2022 00:45

Actually taken from another MN thread on the baby names board:

"Our baby is ten days old and doesn't have a name yet. My husband wants to call her X but I really don't like that name and don't want it for my child. My husband has been calling her X just to piss me off."

The two most common responses:

"FFS just let him have his way and agree to call your daughter X. It clearly means a lot to him!"

Or

"OP just pick a name YOU like and go register the birth with your chosen name without your husband's knowledge or consent".

Sorry but WTF?

"Deep down he really is a good man"

You mean deep deep down underneath the lying, controlling, cheating, abusive to your children layers?!

My lovely little family. Urgh.
Just arrived at hospital (Facebook status)
Love you all the world (doesn't make sense)

@Thefroglover

The second one is usually followed by

OMG OP...are you ok...what's up?

Reply: I'll PM you....

Legit had this on my fb recently..."thanks x, y and z (family members) for taking shifts looking after DS whilst I recover from my op!"

Closely followed by several unanswered replies of
"OMG hope you're ok and its nothing serious"

Don't put it on social media if you dont want people to know!!! Why the secrecy!!

Pinklimey · 05/07/2022 07:01

We're going to keep Boris Johnson as PM, because out of the hundreds of other MPs who are paid loads of money to do their jobs, no one else could do it better.

JLwac · 05/07/2022 07:31

If you're a SAHM you are basically unemployed.

JLwac · 05/07/2022 07:32

I've just moved into my new forever home and I don't like the 500 year old tree in my neighbour's garden. How do I make them cut it down?

Similar to - we moved to the countryside right next to an old church and now we've made them stop bell ringing practise.

IWishIHadNotDoneIt · 05/07/2022 08:14

If you have a disabled child that makes a lot of noise then buy a detached house in the country.

Monacles · 05/07/2022 08:56

I can't drive,
I'm a full time Mum,
I stay at home and my husband works. It suits our family best.
I'm a SAHM with school age children.
