Five in one go Shock

That's 26 now.

itsgettingweird · 06/07/2022 14:33

And another just in!

They are actually going in groups now

mibbelucieachwell · 06/07/2022 14:33

How will this work? The 1922 committee votes to change the rules to have another Vote of Confidence? Finds him unfit and boots him out immediately, somehow or other? Could we have Dominic Raab as an acting PM this evening?

The thing I find more depressing than anything else is that his replacement, while surely to goodness will be less embarrassing is also highly likely to do terrible damage to the country.

ClaudineClare · 06/07/2022 14:37

Golly!

The other thread is getting desperate.

Gove telling him to go is significant.

tobee · 06/07/2022 14:48

Ds heard that the Chief Whip told Johnson to fuck off

tobee · 06/07/2022 14:49

I know it's scary ti think Johnson would call an election and win. But how would that practically happen? He's not a president. He's leader of a party that don't want him. His constituency might deselect him etc etc

Igotjelly · 06/07/2022 14:50

Lots of speculation he won't last the day, i'm not so sure. The man is like a limpet.

tobee · 06/07/2022 14:53

Looking forward to the 3pm meeting lol lol lol 🧐😳😵‍💫😳

You will ! You're normal and rational ! I couldn't help it. But now come away for now because it's making me want to punch myself

tobee · 06/07/2022 14:53

Thinking that may be delayed

Me neither, he believes he is in post by right. I don’t believe he’s capable of listening to what is being plainly said and concluding any of this is about him, it’ll be about the people around him, the public, frosty the snowman - but not him.

I also can’t shake the memory of an MP saying over partygate that trying to oust BJ was akin to regicide. This is a cult and and I think he’ll find it hardest of all to shake.

If he does limp on, the people around him are marking themselves as devoid of morals and we’re in for a dangerous ride.

tobee · 06/07/2022 14:59

Can the Queen not call him in?

tobee · 06/07/2022 15:00

Beth Rigby says "it's always like this in final tussles" but not really. Mass resignations etc etc

tobee · 06/07/2022 15:02

I'm saying but not really not Beth
