China detects signals from aliens

The official Chinese news agency released a statement that they had detected signals that could only have originated from alien life. Then they deleted it.......

Let's face it, either Independence Day or Independence Day 2 is on Freeview every night so we're kind of ready for it. The main thrust is to hurtle planes into their primary devices as they open in a wondrous blue light.

Op is there a Chinese equivalent of April the 1st?
One of the best sci fi i read was (translated I think) Chinese novel about aliens from a "local" star who had been listening to our radio messages...
I wonder if the person who typed this had been reading this
(I wish I could remember the author or name of the book there was a follow up - because the aliens were on route but hadn't got to earth yet....
