Do You Drink Milk?

SunshineLollipopsAndRainbows · 12/06/2022 08:48

I have never liked milk on it’s own - think it probably started with those little glass bottles we used to be given in school where often the milk was warm. Milkshake is fine & I have milk on cereal & in tea.

Yes

NicolasSarkozysCumDumpster · 12/06/2022 08:49

No, never drank it and never will

Tipsyturvychocolatemonster · 12/06/2022 08:50

No it’s disgusting. I don’t even have it in drinks and I don’t eat cereal. I actually feel a little nauseated watching someone drink a glass. Eve th smell turns my stomach.

No. Can't stand it, don't eat cereal and don't have tea / coffee either.

Cazzawazzamoomoo · 12/06/2022 08:51

No, I'm the same OP. I think it's rank on its own. I can have it in cereal, hot drinks, milkshakes etc. But the thought of drinking a cold glass of milk makes me want to vomit.

chutneypig · 12/06/2022 08:52

I've never liked milk on its own and completely agree those glass bottles at school really put me off. I very rarely have cereal because of that and don't like it in coffee either. I'd struggle to drink a glass without gagging.

SardineJam · 12/06/2022 08:54

No, I never did, it's the consistency for me. DM was 'progressive' and I have only had rice milk for as long as I can remember, and then a few years ago I switched over to oat milk.

MinnieMinimal · 12/06/2022 08:55

I'm vegan now, but I also never liked milk on its own. Didn't hate it, but just wasn't keen. Weird aftertaste.

I wouldn't sit and drink a glass of cold, oat / other plant milk now either. It's just for hot drinks and cereal and maybe baking

IHateWasps · 12/06/2022 08:56

Yes. I love milk but it has to be straight from the fridge.

LubaLuca · 12/06/2022 08:56

Yes, I drink it fairly often. I like most milk products too.

mistermagpie · 12/06/2022 08:57

No it's disgusting. I have it in tea and on cereal (I don't eat cereal often though) but I couldn't drink it. My kids and husband drink loads of it and it turns my stomach!

cushioncovers · 12/06/2022 08:57

No I don't. I drink oat milk.

sanityisamyth · 12/06/2022 08:58

No. When I was growing up, we had 4 years without a fridge. Milk was either frozen or off. The smell of milk turns my stomach.

wheresmymojo · 12/06/2022 08:58

Yes.

I love milk. I didn't have it at school though so missed the horror of drinking it a bit warm and not very fresh.

Has to be drunk cold - as in within a couple of minutes of leaving the fridge. Wouldn't be appetising at room temp!

MyNameIsAngelicaSchuyler · 12/06/2022 08:58

Only a splash in tea which I have at the weekends. Switched to oatmilk for coffee and vastly prefer it (plus my digestion has improved immensely)

Etinoxaurus · 12/06/2022 08:58

No. Vegan and lactose free household. Not buying it and keeping it in is a joy, it’s heavy, it goes off. I’ll occasionally have a flat white out, I’d noticed I was tolerating it less and less and I love cheese- we get an ethical cheeseboard at Christmas but apart from that no.

wheresmymojo · 12/06/2022 08:59

I've tried all the alternatives but just can't get used to them Blush

SquigglePigs · 12/06/2022 09:00

No. I have it in tea and coffee and occasionally I have weetabix or porridge with it but that's it. I've no objection to the taste but if I have more than a small amount it upsets my stomach. I did love a good milkshake when I was younger though!

Give oat milk another go. The barista style is lovely.

Pyewhacket · 12/06/2022 09:04

Only in my tea.

dizzydizzydizzy · 12/06/2022 09:05

Occasionally after a heavy exercise session. It's a good recovery drink. Otherwise not.

Cocodreams · 12/06/2022 09:15

Yes, but these days mostly in tea and coffee. I like milk and occasionally will have a small glass. DS loves it. I can’t bear milk alternatives.

Anon1234ABC · 12/06/2022 09:18

Yes, ice cold from the fridge is delicious especially raw milk

Smallorangecat · 12/06/2022 09:22

No, I don’t like it. I have oat milk in tea, yoghurt on cereal.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 12/06/2022 09:25

No, I was probably put off by school milk. Also can’t bear cream.
I will have a little milk in coffee and don’t mind it in sauces etc. but tea with milk tastes horrible to me. Maybe a genetic thing - my DF couldn’t bear milk in any shape or form.

Dh OTOH would love drinking full cream Channel Island milk - and used to, until he started thinking about weight and cholesterol.
