I’d love to know what she threatened him with under her breath 😂

For a four year old I thought he managed it brilliantly. Sitting still for hours is boring.

Imagine if his mum had pulled out her mobile phone and let him.play a game or watch a cartoon - Twitter and MN would explode.

I would have loved this so much!

Stephenthesupersquirrel · 05/06/2022 20:05

I thought she did a fantastic job keeping it together yesterday and today. I took my 4 year old for lunch today with family. Despite having her favourite aunt there she also needed 3 different acitivity books and colouring pencils to keep her busy while waiting for food!

WalkerWalking · 05/06/2022 20:06

All the twatters saying they think he must be autistic?! Yep, pulling a few faces whilst basically sitting very nicely in his chair for hours on end- pretty classic presentation of asd in a 4yo.....🙄

This actually made me giggle to myself

And me, very funny.

I thought Kate and Louis were great, real life royals.

It must be awful being a royal kid, having to perform all the time. George and Charlotte didn't look happy in most of their photos this weekend

But they don't have to perform most of the time do they? It's not often they attend events like this, and Kate posts photos of them she's taken periodically in return for them not being papped etc. Its not like he was scolded or dragged away is it.

StopStartStop · 05/06/2022 20:07

And where is nanny? At the first show of disrespect the child could have been removed from the situation.

PaddingtonBearStareAgain · 05/06/2022 19:40

M&H don't have to be brought into anything. We also will never know as they ducked out of everything apart from the service.

And if they’d attended multiple events, they’d have been accused of trying to upstage HMQ.

I’m not their biggest fan, but they literally cannot win.

He's only just turned 4, she stopped it turning into a complete scene.

i think it's good to see their kids behaving 'normally' & not like little robots.

i think they ALL did really well this past few days! Kate especially!! (Not swapping, not even if the swap came with her figure! ).

Friars23 · 05/06/2022 20:12

To be fair the children thankfully don’t have to do many events over the year.

Disrespect? 😂 he’s a preschooler. An entirely normal one, by the looks of it.

Tallulasdancingshoes · 05/06/2022 20:13

This is brilliant, so real. 😂😂😂

My point is that they weren't there. They don't have to be brought into every thread.

People complain about the comparisons but can't get past two pages of a thread without them being mentioned. If people want to compare to other DC, the Phillips and Tindall children were there too.

WGACA · 05/06/2022 20:14

Louis is awesome! Charlotte is my favourite. They’ve done so well over the past few days, the whole family must be tired now.

Dancingwithhyenas · 05/06/2022 20:16

I find this so humanising. Little boy a bit bored and being cheeky to his mum - so so SO normal. It’s refreshing to see.

😂😂 I mean I feel embarrassed enough when it's in Tesco never mind broadcast on the BBC!!

She did well, he's 4 and cheeky. He's just a happy little chap, that was a bit bored and overstimulated.

I didn't see any disrespect just a normal 4 year old.

Frenchyfrog · 05/06/2022 20:22

I think it seems a bit unfair on the children. They don’t appreciate it, it’s all for show and the general public to say ‘Awh, isn’t that sweet’. Why didn’t they just join for a bit, then leave. I know the royal family have to be there and get paid handsomely for these things (we’ll just paid handsomely in general and in return they have to show up for this), but a bit mean to expect children to have to.

MagnoliaTaint · 05/06/2022 20:24

kateward11 · 05/06/2022 19:21

He’s about four isn’t he? I cannot imagine getting my son to sit through all he’s had to sit through at that age. He’d have been going completely tonto after 20 minutes

Totally. I couldn't sit through all that. I'd have gone stark raving mad. Poor wee thing.

Honestly, it looks like such a crap life, being a royal.
