I’d love to know what she threatened him with under her breath 😂

I think they were really brave sitting a just turned 4 year old down for that long. He's been an absolute star this weekend, and it's been a joy to see them acting like "normal" children.

That horrid Omid Scooby Doo put something really hateful about him on Twitter. Nasty plastic little man, encouraging others to bully a 4 year old online.

What this weekend really shows is that K&W do a lot of parenting and don't leave it all to the nanny (nannies?). They both look like confident parents who know what works with the kids when out in public.

Typical 4 year old...Kate managed it very well I think.

Probably the other Royals did the same thing as children. The difference is that everyone didn't have a camera in their pocket to video it back in the pre 2010s. So we just didn't see it.

And where is nanny? At the first show of disrespect the child could have been removed from the situation.

Oh for goodness sake!!!

I know, am I watching the right one. Just shows a child being really rude to his mum and her not being able to stop it

How old are your children?

Yours shouldn’t be allowing you to play on the computer.

I thought they were beautifully behaved. Both very long shows and I know loads of kids that wouldn't sit like they did! I missed that bit though. Loved seeing Charles with him, Charles & Camilla with the flags, and the Paddington & The Queen bit at the start. It was nice to see the Royals with a bit of personality for a change! Really enjoyed it. Oh and the woman asleep today for the first hour - who was that?!!

I also really like Kate, she's elegant and graceful but fun!

kids this age they sense when you are mortified by them and so begin to taunt you, I can imagine him saying " you can’t do anything to me everyone is watching" Grin

I'd love to see any parent put a stop to this effectively in front of an audience of millions.

I think Catherine dealt really well with her 4 year old. Charlotte and George behaved extremely well over the four days.

All the twatters saying they think he must be autistic?! Yep, pulling a few faces whilst basically sitting very nicely in his chair for hours on end- pretty classic presentation of asd in a 4yo.....🙄

Whaaaaattttttt?

Who's saying that?

My autistic ds would have been one of the few 4yo that would have sat still for hours and watched that!

Mummyoflittledragon · 05/06/2022 20:42

That was classic. 😍 HMQ is quite a character and as society has become more relaxed, she’s finally been able to show more and more of who she really is. I’m sure she gave her parents and nannies a run for their money back in the day, just like most littlies.

Isn't that fingers on your nose thing adorably posh, like something from Just William 😆 I can't imagine the children at my school doing that!

As for disciplining in public, I remember when DS1 was about 3/4 yo and poking his baby brother in the supermarket. I growled under my breath "if you don't stop mummy will get very cross." Shouting was the one thing that would make him stop at that age, I didn't do it often bit it worked when I did. His response? "You won't shout in Tesco"

100% correct 😆
