Getting there
it is really well located for public transport.

Pudding Mill station is directly outside, but we walked from Stratford which is better connected for us from Waterloo.

It’s only a 20 minute walk along pathways links to the Olympic site I’ll be absolutely fine unless it’s pouring down with rain

Drinking and Eating before
if you want a proper meal pasta go to one of the mini chain restaurants at Westfield and then walk from there.

There is very little outside although there is some street food inside, but I didn’t see that.

Outside there is a pop-up box park type thing with called snoozebox which has got loads of atmosphere and some really tasty Indian street food. Drinks in there also a lot cheaper than inside the little mini foyer outside the Area where wine us £25 and beers £6. They will also give you tap water. The arena sells refillable Abba merch water bottles pictured.

the arena
outside in the foyer everybody is very up for it! You’ll be overcome by the joy of the whole experience. The arena is pop-up and the foyer shows, in the winter it might get quite windy but in the summer it was lovely. Hang around there to soak up the atmosphere. The staff are lovely and the cloakroom is free, but watch out for long queues afterwards to get that so take as little as you can. If you have got dancefloor seat you need to travel pretty light. Security is fast.

seating
unless you have an infirmity GET DANCEFLOOR TICKETS. There’s loads of room and great aircon. The chair people only stood up for the odd song. When we arrived in there about 20 minutes before the show lots of people are sitting on the floor in the dance floor seating finishing drinks and stuff but they soon got up as the vibe increased.

the show
They are rightly strict about phone use, and I saw very little of it. The show will freak you out because it’s so brilliant and even after which are not quite sure what you saw

It’s flawless technically and there is a live band . The lighting is alone is worth a ticket price.
it lasts 90 minutes. There are two sequences where is animations rather than abbatars and in theory you can get drinks then it will be hard to get back if you’re on the Dancefloor seating

afterwards
long queues for the Loos outside but go around the corner to the loos away from the cloakroom. Cloakroom queues were long but moved fast. Merch is ££ but available. then if you’re in a party mood you must go to the Snoozebox. This made our day. Really like being at the best wedding party ever. The staff there said it’s like it EVERY day. Dancing. Singing and laughs.

i think that’s it.

Hoping to go to this in November and thinking of staying at the Hyatt beside the Westfield in Stratford, would it be safe to walk back afterwards?

It's safe but a bit of a trek - just get the DLR back, it's only one stop.

Sakura7 · 10/07/2023 09:24

Great thanks both!

I've booked for DD and I for December Xmas Grin
We went late Nov 2022 (DanceFloor) and booked same again. but the evening timeslot rather than afternoon.

DD wants an ABBA T-Shirt ,and I;m sure I can rustle something up for myself with white trousers and sparkly top .

Unreasonably excited !

Pumpkinpower · 22/07/2023 17:22

Hello, I'm going to see Abba voyage are you allowed to take bottle of water and bag of sweets in or is it strictly no food drink at all to be brought in thanks x

Cod · 22/07/2023 18:58

I don’t think so, but I’m not sure why you don’t take a bag of sweets in?

Are there lockers for coats?
I saw mention of a cloakroom so hopefully somewhere to leave a jacket Last time we wore gilets but were travelling home early evening so we don't want to freeze !

rookiemere · 22/07/2023 20:14

@70isaLimitNotaTarget there are free cloakrooms for coats and bigger bags.

Pumpkinpower · 22/07/2023 20:28

Ok thanks, just thought I'd see if anyone knew who's been recently and if possible but yeah will chance it and see, planning to get light snacks in there too.

rookiemere · 22/07/2023 20:14

@70isaLimitNotaTarget there are free cloakrooms for coats and bigger bags.

Thank you / I was hoping there would be , we'll be standing so no room to put things while I throw shapes on the DanceFloor (in my dreams)
I used a crossbody bag under my gilet last visit but DD was cold when we were travelling , she's not old'n'tough like her Mother Wink

Cod · 24/07/2023 05:06

you really don’t need to snack during it. It’s not a movie. It’s a gig

OP posts:
Westfacing · 24/07/2023 05:15

And a very short gig - only 90 minutes!

Pumpkinpower · 24/07/2023 21:29

Yes, I'm fully aware not a movie thanks 🙄

I went yesterday and for anyone else going and wanting to know taking bottle of water, also sweets was fine. Also a good choice of light snacks in there too.

It was an amazing show👏

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 05/08/2023 20:45

I've ordered a TShirt for DD from the Official Website (all the TShirts I saw online were meh ) . Many years ago she convinced me to buy her a Justin Bieber hoodie at his concert , and she still has it/wears it . So I suppose , money well spent , if grudgingly parted from.

I'm going in sequins <bring it on>

ImTheBakerLiteGirl · 27/08/2023 23:41

Has anyone gone from Marylebone to Stratford Tube Station and then to the Arena? Is it easy? I panic as soon as I get into London 😂

Cod · 28/08/2023 01:02

Download the TfL app. Couldn’t be clearer

Cod · 28/08/2023 01:03

ImTheBakerLiteGirl · 28/08/2023 23:42

Seems too easy...! Thank you @Cod!

Cod · 29/08/2023 06:37

It’s a Great app. Even tells you the initial of the bus stop.

ImTheBakerLiteGirl · 29/08/2023 15:48

Thanks Cod!

Has anyone got recommendations of somewhere to eat beforehand? Specifically if they do a brunch.

Have looked at The View Tube, but interested in where others have been.
Thanks

CharlotteSt · 29/08/2023 17:11

We just grabbed a burger at Snoozebox last time or there are loads of places at Westfield.

VinnieP · 10/09/2023 13:15

Hi, I was wondering if anyone had any experience or advice about going to the show whilst pregnant? I'm thinking of going in November and will be about 35wks pregnant then. Will have seats but just a little concerned about the sound and whether it will be too loud for baby and also about the travel.

Is it easy to get dropped off and picked up by uber at the venue without too much of a walk? Thanks in advance!

Cod · 10/09/2023 13:51

I can’t see why it’s a problem

Cod · 10/09/2023 13:51

Some people are still working at 35 weeks!

CointreauVersial · 11/09/2023 16:58

Pretty sure it's straightforward to drop off and pick up at the venue.

My 88 year-old stepmum went a couple of weeks ago (raving in her sequinned trousers and feather boa); BIL drove there, dropped her and DSis at the door, and came back later.
