In quite a small flat, really.

I don't know, what do you think?

Yes I’m in

Catslovepies · 20/05/2022 21:48

Looks extremely overpriced to me just because it's by a lake.

Bloodybridget · 20/05/2022 21:49

Well, I suppose it's an environment that a lot of people would absolutely love - and if you have that sort of money, and enough income to cover the service charges (which I bet are astronomical) you probably also have at least a flat in a city where you spend a good bit of time. I reckon there places will all be sold as second homes to very rich people.
Personally I couldn't bear to live in a development with such a ridiculous sounding name!

PuffinMcStuffin · 20/05/2022 21:49

Looks bloody lovely. I'd love to live there, sadly don't have the money and I don't want to leave my current home!

Alphabet1spaghetti2 · 20/05/2022 21:50

Good god no. For that money I’d want a lot more privacy. My own place within my own grounds - a farmhouse type property.

bellac11 · 20/05/2022 21:51

Mosquitos

LadyGardenersQuestionTime · 20/05/2022 21:52

Why is it so expensive? Lovely setting but basically a single living space - 3 nice bedrooms and a lovely balcony, but still. I had no idea Telford was so desirable.

LoudingVoice · 20/05/2022 21:53

I think it looks quite a tranquil lovely set up, but yeah you could get a lot more for your money - looks like an upmarket retirement village.

DontDoThatGeorge · 20/05/2022 21:54

I do like the outside space.

But the furniture would go all green by the water, and where on earth would you put it in winter?

If I had that to spare I'd live elsewhere in Gloucestershire although in some areas there you could spend more for less.

It's 100 miles south of Telford.

It's quite near Swindon though.

At a £1000 a night rental it generates a pretty good yield

Dibbydoos · 20/05/2022 22:07

It's for the rich - they'd want concierge, spa etc all on site, but it's not fir everyone. I personally would love it...
And even if it's not anywhere very popular now, it will become a sought after area with properties and facilities like this....

mm40 · 20/05/2022 22:12

That’s not the arse end of nowhere…. I thought you meant the top of Scotland or the far west coast of Wales.

Perfectlystill · 20/05/2022 22:14

You can't even live there - it's a holiday home with a clause to keep it that way.

TheAntiGardener · 20/05/2022 22:14

Shouldn’t think these are intended as a main residence. I can’t imagine anyone who has £1.5m to spend on their main or only home choosing something like this. As a holiday home for the very wealthy it becomes a different proposition.

When you look at the photos and advertised facilities this becomes really obvious.

It's not close to anywhere nice. And it's this weird isolated Truman Show type place.

It's the Lakes! Of course they are high priced. It's like a members club they want to keep it exclusive.

OhTheLeetleHandsAndFeetle · 20/05/2022 22:19

If it’s by water there will be rats. No thanks.

3WildOnes · 20/05/2022 22:19

It looks like you would buy as a holiday home /rental.

motogirl · 20/05/2022 22:22

Looks like a holiday property. You are paying to have the "right" neighbours.

MarianosOnHisWay · 20/05/2022 22:24

It looks like living in Center Parcs

I'd pay a million quid to AVOID the sort of people you'd get at Yoo!

moomintrolls · 20/05/2022 22:26

Flimsy fencing. Not apocolypse-proof.
