BGT live semi finals

I've got tickets for the first BGT semi final but it's one of those where they give away too many tickets so you have to go and queue on the day.

In a moment of madness I've booked train tickets and a hotel on the off chance we manage to get in but I'm wondering if anyone has any experience of this or any tips!

It's at Hammersmith appollo so I've booked hotel nearby as I'll have DD(8) with me so if we do get in I don't want to be dragging her on the tube late at night.

Our train gets into Euston at 9.10 so we'll tube it straight to Hammersmith to get in the queue but I'm wondering if we'll be too late even by then. I've seen something online from 2019 that said they started giving out tickets at 9.30 and all were gone by 11am... We would be there before 11am but probably only by half an hour.

If anyone has any experience of this let me know. I've already warned DD that we might not get tickets and that we'll have a lovely couple of days in London if we don't. Just want to know if I'm completely mad even trying to get tickets 😬

Hi, would you be able to let me know what time they start giving out tickets today? I emailed applause store to find out if 3pm would be early enough to get there and they replied that it should be fine! But seeing this thread I am assuming it really wouldn't be!

Oh wow I emailed and they said they couldn’t possibly say and to get their as early as possible. We are on our way now should be there around 10/1015 I can update you on what the que is like at that time and what time it starts moving. I heard some people turned up at 4pm yesterday and didn’t even realise the tickets we’re guaranteed and we’re turned away then. I guess it all just depends on other people and how many others turn up at what time.

Thank you that would be great. My daughter has dancing rehearsals herself in the morning so I cannot possibly get there as early as that, so I think I will be wasting our time. I woukd hate to be turned away, you are right it all depends on the day.

que started moving around 1030 got our tickets at 11

we are going on Thursday ..can anyone let me know how long you was there from queuing until getting seat numbers/tickets please ? And

I've got my ticket and wristband for tonights show and now back home for a while! We arrived in the queue at around 9am and they started giving tickets out at around 10.45, wasn't anywhere near as crowded as I've seen it previously though, so people arriving later may be ok this time! They told us to come back for 6.15pm!

That’s brilliant ..Glad you got tickets…We was planning on arriving for 9-9.30am on Thursday ..🤞 we get tickets then we will go home to change and come back 😊

@Tan3006 That sounds just right, you'll get in no problem😊we saw some of the acts arrive while we were waiting! Got tickets in the circle again, they've definitely changed their seating system!

Is the circle ok seating ?

@Tan3006 Yeah you still get a great view, but I like being in the stalls, was in the 5th row behind the judges for the auditions once! I got to shake Ant and Dec's hands when they came through the audience one time (they were very sweaty) don't think I'll be able to do that in the circle! They just always used to give stall tickets out first, I don't know why they've changed it!

Yeah, this will be the 3rd semi final I've been to, I've also been to loads of the auditions and bgt the champions!

Enjoy those that are going tonight! We'll be watching from the comfort of our sofa back home. Currently on a boat on the Thames then getting train home. We've had a super adventure with it all though.

If you want to take food in put it in your pocket not bag, they checked bags but not pockets!

Our circle seats were pretty good as they were very central to the stage and it was good for DD as they are in tiers so she could see better than she would have if we'd been in the back of the stalls. The only down side was we couldn't see judges table but that was only a problem when the witch was on last night and to be honest DD didn't want to watch that bit anyway!

Applause store were warning people in the queue that no food or drink would be allowed, probably had so many people attempt it yesterday, I had seen them confiscate drinks at previous events, but had totally forgotten about it!

We're at the front of a block, so I think they'll be pretty good seats😊

@Tan3006 You'll be even more shocked once you're in your seats then😁I think you won't have any problems getting in as you're going early, let us know how you get on?

You need tickets from applause store but I'd guess they're all taken by now. Might be worth registering in case they release any more.

There was also limited availability for The Final on Sunday
