…we don’t have Deliveroo. Nor do we have Uber Eats. The Just Eat app tells me that I’m able to order a curry from a nearby town and…that’s it.

I LONG to order a kebab/burrito/Vietnamese/Thai/something delicious for dinner, but I’m stuck living in the 1980s.

To all the sarky bastards Grin

I was merely highlighting the enormous difference between contemporary rural and city experience. If you live in a city, everything is at your fingertips and you assume it’s the same for everyone. I certainly did; I’ve only lived rurally for the past 8 years. I’m not that arsed about ordering takeaway; occasionally it would be nice.

About the same as you. But it doesn't bother me.

I live walking distance from our capital city centre. We have 2 Morrisons within a 2 mile radius and plenty more just outside that. We do not get the Amazon same day shopping that people in towns etc get. Not sure what's going on there!

I'm about an hour away from any superstore. I love it! Been in Wales for 18 months or so. Never been arsed about having access to various takeaways to be honest.
My nearest McDonald's is 45 mins away. I've no idea where the nearest kebab shop is

Love deliveroo (I live in Northern City) because I can order groceries when I cannot be bothered to go out . Choice of Sainsbury's, Aldi, Co-Op and Morrisons. Perfect in a wine emergency, when ill, returning from being away or when tired after work. I have also used it to order friends and relatives treats for a birthday, easter etc becauee I as have deliveroo plus through prime- so flowers wine, cake and chocolate in under an hour! I cannot order for a smug relative in commuter belt land though- far to provincial and out in the sticks😁 They are convinced it is all flat caps, whippets and cheap housing here despite me being able to get a Burmese takeaway in 30 mins. They were excited about Jamie's Italian coming to their Surrey town years after it arrived (and closed) here. We now also have Getir- normally takes 10 minutes to arrive

Just seen a sign up in the one chip shop in our village- they are going on holiday next week so will be closed for a fortnight ( god forbid they get someone to cover the shop for them 😂)
