As the daughter, wife and mother of British veterans (one of whom is in the process of re-enlisting, long story) I think that we need to have faith and trust in our politicians to send our troops into battle only when it is really necessary for the defence of our nation this may mean going to the aid of other friendly nations.

I was aghast at Iraq, I was pregnant with ds2 and remember saying at the time that I wondered if he would ever know the world without war.

The trouble is that right now I have no trust in our government and that is terrifying, at the moment I think they have the balance right in Ukraine, I don't think its the government we have to thank for that though except maybe Ben Wallace.
