We are all well and truly addicted now!

Not sure I’d have got there without hints today, I was on a bit of a tangent!

I solved Semantle #87 in 144 guesses with 2 hints. My first guess had a similarity of 8.70. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #52. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 17.64. semantle.novalis.org/

I liked that one... I didn't have many greens, highest 941, but could see the connection to all of them despite not connected to each other.

Yesterday... my greens were fence, lamppost, railing...

@LoudParrot I got it from railing by thinking where I might find them, leapfrogging to the answer.

Had to resort to a hint again today - first hint was 1/1000! But that gave me the idea, so my next guess took me to 932, so it was just a matter of time before I got there.

My first green word was bed! Cue words like nightmare, dream, bedroom, sleeping! Nope!

What might cause 981? That's the only very weak clue I can think of sorry! @InMySpareTime

I took a very specific route to the word but looking at the top 1,000, so did the AI.

Stupid one for me today at 125. My guesses were getting more and more hyperbolic, yet the target word ended up pretty mundane. Plus I managed a ??? guess with a higher similarity than the supposedly closest word (mine was 80.31) - the reason of course being that it had the target word in it.

I did that yesterday so have to wait until 5pm! (that one was not my area of expertise at all)
Im hoping to stay on a roll with my actual work now

@Redcrayons you need to think more about the potential actions of your top two greens. I can't think of a better hint without making it too obvious!

I had bed too, and boat - if I'd thought harder I might have figured out the connection - though 'couch' being green was definitely unhelpful.
The irony was that yesterday we had a walk at Staffin and then visited Kilt Rock...
