Loved today's! 59 guesses with accuracy of 67.80%, no Google (unlike yesterday...)

This was one of those where I knew exactly what it was (as in, I had a big chunk of the first paragraph !) but no idea what it was called. Still didn't google though, I used a book instead 😆

@PurpleDrain more people are using a Google app to get the answer than are using the search engine.

#25 was much better than yesterday 😅84 with 59.52% accuracy.

I didn’t do as well today and it took DH and I scratching our heads together to get there.

I couldn’t find the official link but I eventually did it in 60 with a 33 or so accuracy.

Gave up and Googled. Could have told you most of the first paragraph but would never have got it without a google.

I’m sort of annoyed with myself because I knew what type of thing it was reasonably specifically (trying not to give it away!) by about guess 30 and even kind of knew the one that was the answer just couldn’t think of the name - but rather than stop and think and drag it out of my memory I just kept banging in random words with occasional guesses that I knew weren’t the answer but ‘just in case’.

No googling though

Still can’t get there. Thought I was getting the hang of it on previous ones but this one is my hardest. Don’t know how people are getting it so quickly.

I took ages to get to the general area but at least I knew what I was aiming for once I was in the general area.

I think if you type your word in capital letters then it doesn't pluralise it for you. I'm not totally sure as today was the first day I tried it, it seemed to work, but I'm going to check again tomorrow.

It means you can chop and change as you do the puzzle - some words I'm happy to have both the singular and plural included, others not, so I can just capitalise as I'm going along for those ones.

New thread and new clues please. I’m going to kick myself when I get it.

Helped by reading it through twice at least, and by some of the words in italics, and it just being something I actually know alot about.
