This is my new favourite -le game !

I've done two so far and solved them both without Google - I expect the beginner's luck will end now !

Yesterday's I was stuck so started typing names, John and Paul both had hits but George didn't so I discounted the Beatles 😂and tried Popes which set me off on the right track.
Today I was just figuring out a theme, and a guessed another word which turned out to be the title.

I got the second word in the title really early and without any googling (goodness know how). I did have to use google to get the first word, and I would never have got it without as I have no idea about this subject area and had never heard of this particular thing.

Happy with that although I need to take plurals off as they just double up most of the guesses. And add 2 for every zero result.

If you go into settings there is a box to tick to attempt to pluralise answers which may help save some guesses.

Fun one today. I guessed fair early what the area was so got a little lost with words I knew would be connected before the penny dropped to the actual title.

I solved today's Redactle (#19) in 52 guesses with an accuracy of 32.69%. My first guess had 22 hits so it was fairly easy to guess the subject matter.

Teacher DH in relevant subject gave a gazilion different possible answers to first word today. None were correct. He told me to 'get a life', which clearly I decided not to do. Eventually I put in a word I thought I had already put in. I thought 98 attempts was good considering I don't understand a word of it!!

My accuracy is much higher than all yours at 54%. Why is that?

So far today I've had 95 guesses and got 4 hits!

I would guess that your DH's suggestions were lots of words in the article itself, just not the right key word for the title? Therefore your accuracy score will be high. I took ages to guess the subject matter and tried loads of irrelevant words with zero scores early on so my accuracy is quite low.

Love this game but hated today. I know zero about this subject matter.

That was tricky today, my usual starter words were all 0.

Ugh, I have 187 and the second word in the title. Spent ages knowing the broad area but not being able to tie it down to a more specific area. Now I don't know whether to google or if I would consider that cheating.

I'm quite pleased with that, after initial despair that despite being fairly sure what the very general field was, all my initial guesses were zeros.
