I solved Semantle #79 in 220 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 1.59. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #208. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 26.41. semantle.novalis.org/

@JaneJeffer I think I must be tired because the clue really didn't make any sense at the time . Thank goodness I got it by trying lots of 794.

Well, I’ve had no time for the past couple of days but thought I’d give Semantle a go in the 15 minutes I have now before dinner and omg it was an early random guess I use regularly! So surprised & pleased (it’s done wonders for my average!)

Okay that was random! Cold all day, got to 100+, about to ask for a hefty clue, randomly put in 207 and then got it in 4 more guesses! Nowhere near as quick as some people but hey!

I went down a certain specific route just now. Thanks to a clue here I'm not still googling specifics. Was convinced I was missing something obvious.

So bizarre!

I solved Semantle #79 in 250 painstaking guesses. My first green was 87th guess, 55. It took me 130 guesses to move from 741 - by 249 I was giving up. I asked for a clue but got the answer with my next guess!

😅 read this thread which gave me two sorts of feelings. Then, as it's later and not sure how much more I could wait, I started guessing, where I got:

1. 918 (sort of confirming it was what I guessed, and not politicians 😅😅😅)
2. 982
3. 921 (should have gotten it here but I thought it was too easy and another comment made me think I was off)
4. 608
5. 1000

Reading the hints can really confuse you when you don't know the words but I wanted to have a different take on the game. Unfortunately, it was so easy for the majority that there weren't many clues. Yesterday it was so difficult that the clues didn't help 😅
