Since weve almost managed to fill our 6th thread I thought I should start the next so we have somewhere to sc

If you're lucky enough not to know what I'm on about Semantle is a word game like Wordle. You need to find the secret word of the day, but it works by semantics, not letters. So you input a word and it will tell you how close you are. You have infinite guesses.

For example, one of the secret words was 'costly' with expensive, cumbersome and burdensome being the three closest words.

If you want to join in the fun followthis linkand prepare to lose your sanity.

We tend to use the threads to rant about how we're getting nowhere, celebrate our successes and laugh about the previous day's top 1000 but please, no spoilers. Subtle hints only here; use DMs for more obvious clues.

Yes it shows when you guessed and where it's ranked. Doesn't take up another guess

Sorry I’m mulling about this one! Got it in a ridiculous 444 guesses. There are always quirks but this one seems uniquely rubbish. Can we bitch about it discuss it tomorrow please!?

Well I'm shocked, that was easier than yesterday's.

I solved Semantle #65 in 24 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 5.13. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #2. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 9.48. semantle.novalis.org/

My first go. I nearly gave up but happy to have another time waster to add to my collection.

They give away the part of speech though and somewhat the ‘sort’ of word.
