I hated my surname, it was long and always spelled wrong. That coupled with living in a village with a really long name just got on my nerves. (Pre internet when you would be having to spell things out over the phone.)
So I decided that I would only go out with boys who had names of 5 letters or less. Failed with my first boyfriend who was Greek but stuck to it after that and now have a 5 letter name.
