Semantle thread 4 is almost full and there's still plenty of love (and hate 🤣) for the game, so here's a new thread for Sunday's game.

If you're lucky enough not to know what I'm on about Semantle is a word game like Wordle. You need to find the secret word of the day, but it works by semantics, not letters. So you input a word and it will tell you how close you are. You have infinite guesses.

For example, one of the secret words was 'costly' with expensive, cumbersome and burdensome being the three closest words.

I’ll dm you as unsure if the only clue I can think is, is a bit too obvious? (So only open if you want an obvious clue!)

That's my quickest ever - only a few minutes and no Googling (for once!!!) 😁 I only had 3 mid-way greens but I sometimes find you can stumble across one that, although not very high, just seems to connect perfectly and gets you there - today it was 679

I was really happy with today's score, then saw everyone else's...

I got it quickly once I found the right vein. I got some lower greens early on which took me off in a wrong, confusing direction.

My average is shocking due to the Curriculum the other day (mind blank leading to 500 guesses) and deleting everything when I had to refresh the cookies in the Mumsnet update.

50 guesses in and only one green (460). Everyone has got it so quickly today - I think I need to rethink my starting words.
