Semantle thread 4 is almost full and there's still plenty of love (and hate 🤣) for the game, so here's a new thread for Sunday's game.

If you're lucky enough not to know what I'm on about Semantle is a word game like Wordle. You need to find the secret word of the day, but it works by semantics, not letters. So you input a word and it will tell you how close you are. You have infinite guesses.

For example, one of the secret words was 'costly' with expensive, cumbersome and burdensome being the three closest words.

I went down the wrong track for a while after getting 183, 460 and 926 but then stumbled on the right path

I’ve got 993, 995, 997, 998 and 999. It’s driving me crazy!

I'm not particularly close yet, but the greens I have mostly seem to fit a theme, but other words from that theme aren't green so I'm not sure if I'm on the wrong track. Can someone let me know if I'm way off base? I have 726, 488, 460 (doesn't fit as well), 444, 391.

@squirrelnutkins1 you only take a ... with certain types of 926. You would take one at 687.

All my greens seemed to relate to a certain thing but the thing itself was cold which confused me no end….926, 925, 805, 687, 624, 273….

Every night I say I won't start playing during the night feed and yet I always do. Fell asleep thinking of words to try only to have forgotten them when I woke up this morning. Managed it somehow, wasted a lot of guesses down the wrong theme.

That took me a while! I got some low greens that were kind of red herrings, then when I found them theme it took me a long time to narrow it down to the answer.

What might have happened if you 488 someone.

That's probably the easiest route to go down out of your greens.

This is another of those words where there's more than one route though not such distinct meanings as yesterday. The opposite of 562 being cold was helpful to me not getting stuck deep into one theme.

Give us a couple of other numbers so we can see what route you're on. Consideration of whether there's any logic to which related words are hot or cold might help (it did me)
