What's your favourite ice cream flavour or variety, brand etc ?

Admittedly it must be at least twenty years since I last tasted ice cream so my tastes will likely be rather dated. As a youngster, I used to like the Lyons Napoli cornets with different fruit and other flavours. I liked strawberry the best, then orange then mint choc chip. Cornish ice cream was also quite popular but I might find it too rich now. Haunted House ice cream lollipops were a good compromise; better than bland Mr Men lollies but not as good as a Mivvi or Orange Maid.

Does anyone really like ice cream made with lumps of cookie dough ? It sounds gross.

I love Mackies ice cream, particularly the chocolate one. I must try more of their flavours though :D

Haagen Dasz Praline and Cream flavour. The ultimate in my opinion!

Ice cream snob here. I always thought it was completely overrated (although I thought fudge Gino ginelli was amazing when I was a child), but I’ve since discovered places locally that make it fresh every day. Black cherry, please.

The only other flavour I like is vanilla

Though, I do like it with its properly made with real vanilla and not just vanilla flavouring

I like Scottish Tablet ice cream but always have to add more tablet as there's never enough.

And fudge Gino Ginelli, I'd forgotten how good this was - yum!

Rizza’s gold top, there used to be a shop in Lossiemouth (NE Scotland coast) sold it by the cone, it was divine . Don’t know if you can get it outwith Scotland .

The best ice cream I’ve ever had though was from a street seller in Plymouth in 1995, age 3 or 4, raspberry ripple - can still taste it now .

Movenpick Maple walnut. Haven’t seen it in years!

I can't eat dairy anymore but I used to love Tesco's latte ice cream

The best ice cream in the world is served at Gelateria del Porto in Antibes. If that isn’t convenient, Waitrose’s No1 own brand stuff is delicious. Santo Domingo Chocolate is my favourite flavour.

A lot of shops locally make their own ice cream and I probably wouldn't buy walls or nestle with the exception of Ben and Jerrys as a treat. Some of the Cornish brands are very good, Callestick and Roskilliies.

Kellys ice cream is nice, i wish they sold more flavours in the supermarket, their mint choc chip is my favourite.

Ben and Jerry’s phish food, I don’t normally like chocolate Ice cream and would normally have strawberry/ fruit. I really like the chocolate chunks.

I like vanilla, or coffee, or pistachio.
I find any other flavours a bit much.
I can really take or leave ice cream. I am amazed people spend so much money on it.

Arran raspberry ripple, god it's gorgeous. Others are any decent maple pecan (hard to find), and salted caramel too.

I find Hagen Daas far too sweet and do like Mackies. My best ice creams tend to be smaller local companies , and our farm shop has an amazing Alfonso mango sorbet

I used to love Ben and Jerry's 'Coffee Coffee Buzz Buzz Buzz' , it was a true, strong coffee flavour! (With chunks of coffee flavoured plain chocolate in as well.) But sadly it was discontinued quite a long time ago.
I make Nigella's no-churn espresso coffee now.

Another vote for pistachio. Agree it's difficult to get, unfortunately:(
