*TW* Dd has gone missing

My DD is in her 20s and has learning difficulties along with mental health issues. Her mental health has been gradually getting worse over the last 6 months. Resulting in several visits to A&E (usually after self harming or becoming very distressed and threatning to end her life). Where they talk to her and then send her home again once she has calmed down... Brew

This deterioration started following a traumatic event linked to her past but I don't want to go into details because it's very outing. Needless to say it has and still is destroying my daughter's mental health Sad

This morning she text me whilst I was at work saying that she was sorry but she couldn't do this any longer and was going away. Don't try to find her etc. I tried calling her but her phone is switched off. Further investigation (speaking to other people) has revealed that Dd received some news this morning that's probably triggered her into crisis again Sad I still can't get hold of her (I've got several family members trying as well). I've called the police and I'm just waiting for them to arrive and take further details.

I'm so worried and scared that she's going to do something stupid SadFlowers I don't know why I'm posting here. I just need a handhold Brew

She's been found (thank goodness!)

She finally answered my calls about an hour ago. She was frightened after what happened this morning and her fight or flight instinct took over. So she got a train as far away from here as she possibly could. Nearly 400 miles away!Shock

The local police where she is have now got her safe and she's being taken to hospital. Myself and DH are going to drive up tomorrow and hopefully bring her back. Then we can sort out the help she clearly desperately needs

That's wonderful news. Have a restful evening now that you know she is safe. You've got a long day ahead tomorrow and some important plans to put in place so get as much rest as you can.

Try to rest as much as possible tonight.
Tough times ahead but as a family you will get through.

How awful for you, you must be distraught. As others have said, you need as much publicity as possible. Photo on Facebook, asking people to share.
I hope she is found safe and well very soon.

Bless her, poor thing! @PigeonPie1 I'm so relieved for you that she's been found and is safe! Thankfully she is able to feel your love and support, and picked up her phone when she felt able. She seems to know that you all are there for her, but needed to physically distance herself from whatever frightened her this morning instead of feeling hopeless about her troubles because she knows you do care.

So glad your Daughter contacted you.

Hopefully she will one day be able to come to terms with the traumas of the past.

Not forgive, but to realise that whatever happened need not affect the rest of her life.
