*TW* Dd has gone missing

My DD is in her 20s and has learning difficulties along with mental health issues. Her mental health has been gradually getting worse over the last 6 months. Resulting in several visits to A&E (usually after self harming or becoming very distressed and threatning to end her life). Where they talk to her and then send her home again once she has calmed down... Brew

This deterioration started following a traumatic event linked to her past but I don't want to go into details because it's very outing. Needless to say it has and still is destroying my daughter's mental health Sad

This morning she text me whilst I was at work saying that she was sorry but she couldn't do this any longer and was going away. Don't try to find her etc. I tried calling her but her phone is switched off. Further investigation (speaking to other people) has revealed that Dd received some news this morning that's probably triggered her into crisis again Sad I still can't get hold of her (I've got several family members trying as well). I've called the police and I'm just waiting for them to arrive and take further details.

I'm so worried and scared that she's going to do something stupid SadFlowers I don't know why I'm posting here. I just need a handhold Brew

When a similar thing happened with our daughter my wife posted on Facebook and a lot of her work colleagues shared the post. The police had traced her phone to Manchester so we went there. Her phone was eventually answered by a guy who said he'd found it on a bench and would hand it in to the police (he didn't). We felt we'd hit a dead end when a lady rang from a village in Derbyshire to say that she'd seen the Facebook messages and she thought she was with our daughter - although she wouldn't communicate. We headed down there and collected her from the police. Sounds like she'd slept in a field, although her memory was hazy. She suffered from disassociation quite badly and would go 'inside her head' for days at a time.
This was 4 years ago and she has since completed a degree and moved in with her boyfriend and is doing great. I really hope for a similar outcome for you.

Aside from the authorities, this is where sSocial media is a bonus. Share her photo near and far, people will share and share again. You only need just one to spot her.

in cases like this there have often been sightings on ring doorbells so routes can be tracked

I hope your daughter is found soon. It must be horrible for you too because sometimes your imagination can work overtime and you really don't need that at the moment. She might turn her phone back on and then it can be tracked
