Pancakes for dinner?

Is it normal on pancake day to just have pancakes (obviously a horrendous amount) for dinner?

Or, do you have supper and then have them for pudding?

Im just really curious, let me know what you do in your household MN

Kids had light dinner and pancakes in a min for pudding. I’m just having pancakes as I don’t have enough calories for both.

Yes. I’m making Korean prawn ones.

We have them for pudding. Our recipe probably makes 4 each, they're not that filling with lemon and sugar, and I can't be arsed to do savoury filled ones.

Dinner.

Ham and Gouda and mushroom and mascarpone first,

The sweet ones for after. I don’t like sweet so probably just savoury for me but no doubt DH will go pancake mad, there’s Nutella 😂

My DH was a bit surprised the first year but it's what I had from childhood

We used to have pancakes for dinner when I was a kid. Now I just make them for dessert (so I don't have to make dozens of the buggers)

We just have pancakes.

We only have them once a year so we like to make the most of it.

We start off with pancakes so we don't fill up valuable Nutella space with actual food. Then later if anyone is still hungry we do something simple like burgers for filling the corners.

As kids we just had bog standard lemon and sugar. I know times change but that’s stuck with me although today I’ve had American style with Nutella and berries.

DD will normally have just pancakes for an early dinner - she’s just had four! one cheese, one ham, one with blueberries and raspberries and one with Nutella …

I normally only have one or two with lemon and sugar! And maybe some soup or something later on.

One year I had pancakes for breakfast, a pancake in the canteen at work for lunch then pancakes for dinner.

Best. Day. EVER.

So I can't see the issue with pancakes for dinner.

PS I didn't do that for the kids too, was just me!

Dinner was savoury (spinach and cheese) followed by sweet (lemon and sugar).

I made dd dinner and she will have pancakes later or in the morning for breakfast as she says she's not hungry. I've not bothered with dinner, (chicken casserole, jacket spud and broccoli) and just had pancakes with sugar and lemon.
