Pancakes for dinner?

Is it normal on pancake day to just have pancakes (obviously a horrendous amount) for dinner?

Or, do you have supper and then have them for pudding?

Im just really curious, let me know what you do in your household MN

Always pancakes for dinner in this house. With bacon and maple syrup. DDs had them with blueberries and honey. It's once a year and a bit of fun!

The ham/mushroom/mascspone ones sound amazing though! I may have to investigate those next year.

@PatientlyWaiting21 I am doing a calories counting diet and would not have enough calories to indulge in pancakes on top of dinner so chose to prioritise the pancakes on this occasion so I could have the number I wanted with the toppings I wanted.

First year we’ve done this for dinner, and everyone liked it!

Savoury - ham and Dion mustard or herby mushrooms, both with small amount of Emmenthal and cream rolled inside and on top - in oven till brown. I’ll add spinach and tomatoes next year for some veg portions.

American blueberry pancakes with maple syrup (add bacon next year?)

A huge number of thin crepes with choice of: lemon and sugar, raspberries/strawberries, squirty cream (plain and chocolate versions), maple syrup, chocolate sauce, caramel condensed milk, banana.

Yum.

@BooksAndHooks lord, just cut back on another day or two and you’d still be in a deficit overall for your week 🙈
