The bus from Glasgow to St Erth (changing in London). 26hrs of hell.

The way back was worse though, when there was a massive bus delay from London and then the bus broke down. Nearly 48hrs on a bus or in a bus station. Nope. Never again.

Why?? Why would you do that to yourself?? It's bad enough having to do the rail replacement from Plymouth!

Bus from Holyhead to London. Booked a flight to return back.

Holiday in Devon with in laws. Tedious couple and bratty kids .

Coach trip from the north east to Newquay on a August BH weekend.

Also - making a cake, tried to poke a blob of butter off the top of the electric mixer beaters so it mixed in. Without turning the mixer off first. Finger got mixed in instead - amazed I didn't lose it and only got away with cuts and bruises.

Oh and ice skating - a cold hour spent gripping onto the side / falling on my arse I'll never get back.

I used to regularly get the Megabus from Glasgow to London. Overnight it was fine, I could sleep anywhere.

Having my tubes taken out after my last baby. Won't be doing that again!

I live in France and have so far avoided andouillette. I dread being offered it. Also tête de veau( calf’s head) is popular.
We went to a neighbour for dinner and they barbecued what I thought was chicken, it was actually big chunks of octopus.
I managed to eat a piece. Our lovely neighbour then chopped some up and mixed it with salad for our lunch next day. I rinsed it in a sieve and fed it to our dog!

Thinking I'd impress the boyfriend when the patio slabs got delivered, thought it'd be a nice surprise for him by taking them up the alley round to the back garden to save him a job after he finished work... Turns out they're bundled together in such a way that after moving a few without issue, the rest slid down and landed on my foot, pinning me, while traffic went past as we live on a main road. Tried to push a few off but they were too heavy, raging pain in my foot kicking in, feebly attempted to wave a car down for help but felt like a right tw@ so one by one had to quickly shuffle them from the top, one to the left, to the right, to the left again until I was eventually free. Dignity and foot bruised and beaten... But I still got them all taken round afterwards to try to make up for the shambles. My foot was totally swollen and I'd cracked my big toe nail aswell as later getting an infection in it, my thighs were bruised from leaning the slab on them as I manoeuvred them around... and well... Lessons were learnt that day 🤣

Yes!!! My last visit to Blackpool was so bad that I have no intention of ever going again! There's a certain culture/ethnic(?!) group that seem to have taken over (not a problem with that in itself) but they have absolutely no respect for anyones personal space! There were families of atleast three generations that took over the whole path and after a while of politely moving to avoid them, I told my family to stand their ground and they even rubbed shoulders with us as opposed to moving over an inch! Not racist in the slightest, but I took issue with their attitude and entire lack of social awareness. Other than that, the doughnuts are lovely 🤣

Letting someone else book a holiday for me.

Agreed with a destination with a small group of friends and one said she knew the area well, spoke the language and travelled loads so would book everything herself rather than booking a package to get us a much better deal. Ended up flying from our local airport via another country (with a 6 hour wait inbetween flights) rather than travelling an hour to a bigger UK airport. The taxi booked to take us from the airport to the hotel didn't have enough room for all our bags so half of us had to wait for a second taxi to be sent (and pay for a second taxi). Hotel was room only and miles from anywhere so we spent a fortune on taxis- but also full of teenagers drinking all day and night so not even a quiet place to relax. On the way home our bags didn't make it on to the connecting flight. Oh, and given the multiple flights etc for the price we paid we could have booked a much better standard of hotel as a package deal. in fact I'm pretty sure we could have afforded somewhere long-haul and the journey would have been quicker.
