He’s a piece of work isn’t he?!

The Russell murders was the 1st case that really stayed with me and shocked me as a teenager and I have followed it ever since.

I’d love for there to be a definitive answer and right the right person to be held accountable but Bellfield is a classic narcissist and psychopath and toying with this confession and all the details he’s given to get a bit of lime light and cause further distress is right up his street...

I read today what when he finally gave all the really awful details of Milly Dowlers murder he would only do so to female officers...make of rhat what you will!

I’ve also seen that the police believe he could be behind many other murders and assaults in the London’s area and beyond, I think of all the old crime watch reconstructions, cold cases that come into the press often and think which of those he could be behind and the poor families still waiting for answers...

He’s an absolute piece of shit. He needs to swing but then we’d never find out the full extent of his crimes.

Has he confessed to the Russell murders? I had heard that he was a suspect when his other offences came to light . Watched a couple of documentaries about him, interviews with his ex partner etc. Also the taped police interviews. He really is an appalling piece of subhuman detritus and it's pleasing that he will never be released to take any more innocent lives!!

Yes he has given in a 4 page confession.

I have just watched Manhunt (Martin Clunes portraying the dectective who finally caught Levi Bellfield) and was horrified by this awful man. I believe he has converted to Islam in prison yet I refuse to believe he is now confessing for altruistic reasons. He seems totally narcissistic.

I was also absolutely shocked when i heard the news!!!

For some years, I believed he was responsible for those awful murders of Lynn and Megan. Let's hope Josie, her father and the man wrongly committed just so police can get a heinous crime closed, finally get justice, and are able to move on from this heartbreaking situation

Hasn’t he confessed before but then withdrawn it? I agree that he likes the attention and just because he says he’s done it doesn’t mean he has. But if it’s true then it’s awful for Stone.

I think it's understandable that people are calling for the death penalty for Bellfield but I think this situation shows more than anything why the death penalty should never return to the UK

I always thought he'd killed the Russell's. I still think it and really feel for Michael stone. I find him fascinating in the sense of how much of a evil fuck he is.

It goes without saying that he is a morally reprehensible piece of filth, but it’s not uncommon for notorious murderers like him to make fake confessions in order to A, gain attention and B, gain further notoriety in prison.

The police have already urged caution here, and Michael Stone has been denied appeal on several occasions.

I think we can hold off the sympathy for him until or if there is a prosecution.

Reading the part of that confession which has been revealed in the bbc article, it just smacks of being fake to me. All that talk of how his head was in the wrong place etc etc and then going on to tell the whole story of how he did it etc.

Sorry but I just don’t believe it. I absolutely believe that he was capable of it make no mistake, but I still believe that Michael Stone is guilty as fuck.

Did they ever give the DNA results for the boot lace that the police lost?

Unless his confession contains information only the police and the attacker knew then it's not worth the paper it's written on.
