We are cold (not covid) ridden here. So it will be sausage sandwiches with some fruit. I have nearly passed out with boredom, but everyone else seems enthusiastic about it.

Then I re-read and it all made sense Grin

It's amazing! Salty crunchy, so good! Like white pudding but dry and crumbley. Haven't seen seen it south of Aberdeen though 🤔

spottygymbag · 16/01/2022 22:57

Chickpea korma tonight with either wild rice or black rice and some extra veg on the side. It's something I can prep and cook during the day while working so it's ready for when dc get home.

Tonight- steak with mushrooms, fried potatoes and salad. Should have been DH’s birthday dinner but he wanted to go out last night.

Tomorrow - chicken thighs roast with potatoes and veg.

NalPolishRemover · 28/01/2022 20:15

We've had salmon cooked in foil with red pepper slivers, spring onion, chilli, fresh ginger, fresh coriander, soy sauce
Served with petit pois & steamed new potatoes- was very tasty

bluesugar · 30/01/2022 08:00

The cupboards are nearly bare so we are having jacket potatoes stuffed with cheese and tuna. Then home made rice pudding.

Cuwins · 30/01/2022 09:36

Just put Cuban beef in the slow cooker

languagelover96 · 30/01/2022 10:11

In honor of Chinese New Year, we are going to order Chinese food for tea tonight.

CandyMan89 · 30/01/2022 10:35

Oven pizza! Need a quick meal.

confusedofengland · 30/01/2022 11:39

Toad in the hole, mash, cauliflower cheese & green beans. For pudding, a vanilla cheesecake with a choice of toppings (my aunt's hm jam, honey, golden syrup, chocolate spread or Percy Pig sauce 😋)

Pretty much all of the above bought at Tesco reduced counters or with M&S gift voucher I got as a work bonus, so meal will cost less than £3 total for 5 of us!

BookFiend4Life · 30/01/2022 13:40

Solidarity to all those with covid! We are just getting over it. Two choices tonight, either:

French onion galette and that tiktok green goddess salad

Or

Thai pork with soba noodles and crunchy veggies.

I either need to get off my butt and make pie crust or marinate the pork.

mamaduckbone · 30/01/2022 13:59

Slow cooker brisket (Save with Jamie recipe) with mash, Yorkshire pud and lots of veg (green beans, carrots, red cabbage and swede)
Cherry and apple crumble if I can be bothered to make it.

Harrriet · 30/01/2022 14:13

maddiemookins16mum · 30/01/2022 14:36

Lovely massive pork chops (from our butcher who reduces everything come 4pm on a Saturday). Doing homemade potato dolphin nose and veg. Pudding is a frangipane and apple cake with custard.
