We are cold (not covid) ridden here. So it will be sausage sandwiches with some fruit. I have nearly passed out with boredom, but everyone else seems enthusiastic about it.

Fillet steak cooked on the bbq with aldi skin on oven fries for dd, steamed potatoes for me & dh. Griddled asparagus & red pepper. Steamed carrots & peppercorn sauce

AdoraBell · 16/01/2022 16:49

Roast chicken. Leftovers will be used for curry and sandwiches. That’s the next 2 days sorted.

AnnieAreYouOkHun · 16/01/2022 16:54

We're having a steak and ale slow cooker with mash and veg, followed by sticky toffee pudding and custard and I can not wait! 😋

Cottagepieandpeas · 16/01/2022 16:56

Some toast or maybe a cuppa soup. I love Sundays. We cook fish fingers or similar for DC but forage for ourselves.

mamaduckbone · 16/01/2022 16:57

Proper big pork roast dinner - I can't wait Smile

Cottagepieandpeas · 16/01/2022 17:00

@HalloHello

Roast chicken here too! With roast potatoes, roast carrots, brocolli, cauliflower cheese, Skirlie, Yorkshires and gravy
@HalloHello I had to look up skirlie. Never heard of it before. Is it nice?
ohidoliketobe · 16/01/2022 17:01

Ribeye steaks and blue cheese sauce for grown ups, bbq chicken breasts for the kids with homemade fat chips and griddled broccoli and giant mushrooms. (Kids won't touch the veg, but god loves a trier...)

Cuwins · 16/01/2022 17:05

Beef stew in the slow cooker here, just going to do some baby potatoes with it.

8Track · 16/01/2022 17:13

Managed to edit the shopping delivery as I had a random hankering, so with most of the credit to Morrisons we are going to have:
Roast topside of beef, with roast spuds (I the Christmas goose fat), cauli cheese, green beans, stuffing, yorkies, gravy and horseradish. Nice red wine.

Trifle leftover from DPs birthday for pud, as we were too full of curry goat to eat it on the day!

miltonj · 16/01/2022 17:24

Hot dogs, chips and salad tonight. Was going to be chill con carne but I needed a nap so something quick instead.

UsernameTaken76 · 16/01/2022 17:26

Made the gojuchang cornflake chicken sliders from the Gordon in 10 cookbook I got at Christmas. They were fab with some fries.

Will have M&S plant kitchen sticky toffee pudding and Lidl’s vanilla vegan ice cream. I’m not vegan but diary intolerant so the new vegan ranges are great for me as well

Firstshoes · 16/01/2022 17:29

Rotisserie chicken in the air fryer, roasted baby potatoes and dressed salad

EatingJunkAndWatchingRubbish · 16/01/2022 17:34

I'd love a roast but it just feels like soooo much effort! I'm exhausted this evening, struggling to stay awake!
Im grateful to past me for picking up a quick throw in the oven dinner earlier in the week so will just do that with some veg, or beans. Minimal effort. I think it's sausage & mash pie. Smile

FelicityFidget · 16/01/2022 17:37

Beef and mushroom pie from the local farm shop. Leftover dauphinoise, cauli cheese, roast carrots and cabbage.

Kids had chicken and veg paella.

Roominmyhouse · 16/01/2022 17:40

Fillet steak with salad and jacket potato for me, DH is having mushrooms and chips with his.

golddustwomen · 16/01/2022 17:40

Sausage and mash over here!

Longdistance · 16/01/2022 17:45

Olympic sized roast chicken with thyme and garlic. Roast potatoes in goose fat, sautéed leeks, veg, stuffing and I will make gravy with the juices from the chicken.
The MN chicken will only last another dinner this week. Probably a stir fry or pasta.

InFiveMins · 16/01/2022 18:13

Usually have a roast dinner but been out for most of the day today so having a risotto instead.

Flynnqwer · 16/01/2022 18:18

Steak cooked in truffle oil with carrot, swede and potato mash.

JemimaMuddledUp · 16/01/2022 18:18

Turkey, stuffing, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, carrot and swede mash, sprouts, gravy.

No it's not Christmas, I just bought a turkey joint and lots of in season veg from the farmers market yesterday.

Sticky toffee pudding afterwards.

SquigglePigs · 16/01/2022 18:20

I've got covid so going easy - cajun marinated chicken breasts thrown in the oven with some peppers and onions then served in a flatbread with some coriander yogurt.

Tricked2003 · 16/01/2022 18:29

I'm making chicken breast in a creamy mushroom sauce, new potatoes and green beans. Simple but tasty.

Chelsea26 · 16/01/2022 18:29

Roast root vegetable curry here with pilau rice and stuffed paratha using up all the left over vegetables from the week so feel virtuous Halo

We had gammon, egg, home made chips and beans yesterday which is one of the best dinners ever!

Bloodybridget · 16/01/2022 18:45

Another roast chicken dinner at Casa Bridget! DP is cooking and I'm hungry. Roast potatoes, cauliflower, mashed swede and carrot, gravy.
