Stupidly hard work quiz (help!)

If anyone remembers previous years my work sets a stupidly hard quiz for us to have a go at every Christmas. This year's is no different....

I've managed to complete the first 8 puzzles myself but now I'm stuck Very frustrating as I've got the gist of the puzzles but can't figure out what the answer is!

Is CHF a lift shaft?

Someone can play with all those! I'm wondering whether it's a song lyric? Then once in order, the answers from the photos are put into that order??

If we take put the letters that appear in the name of what's in the pictures, what are we left with? E.g. if CHF is a lift shaft, we'd take out h and f as they appear in the name, leaving C?
