It's appalling - but two people were found guilty of his murder - why is your anger only directed at the woman?

Because she was alone in the house when he died and thus has been convicted of literal murder while he got manslaughter. The entire thing lies with him for thinking with his dick in my opinion.

Hughes is every bit as evil as she is.

He could have chosen to go back to his Mums with Arthur - or literally anywhere else- at any point and chose to continue abusing Arthur. I truly believe that if Tustin hadn’t have murdered Arthur then Hughes would have sooner or later. They were both torturing the life out of him.

This case has been one of the worst things I've ever read. That poor little boy. Such evil.

It says in the daily Mail that ET was pregnant with THs baby when she killed Arthur. Did that pregnancy not continue or has that baby been born?

I heard the news of the verdicts on the radio whilst at work. Managed to hold it together until I left an hour ago and had a cry in the car. I wish them both nothing but eternal misery. REST WELL BEAUTIFUL BOY.

I was shocked how unemotional the dad was too.

Arthur, there is so much love here for you, I hope you can feel it somehow, somewhere.

This whole story makes me want to tear their faces off. I can only prey each day is a nightmare for the rest of their lives.

She terminated the pregnancy while waiting for the court case.

I hadn't heard of this dreadful case until today.

It's broken my heart - that poor little boy. He must have been so frightened and alone and suffered so much. I can't understand how his father wasn't also convicted of murder - but I hope they both get the living sh*t kicked out of them in prison.

I think she aborted the baby at 21 weeks and the first Thomas Hughes knew was at crown court 2 weeks ago..

Presumably she’ll be with women who are locked up for non-child abusing crimes, who are desperately missing their kids, and will be sickened by someone who could murder a child.

Indeed, and given the mother was also an inmate and it was her imprisonment which caused Arthur to fall under the "care" of the father and father's girlfriend, it will be especially meaningful.

She'll probably have to be held in total isolation. Even women in protective will have children and therefore be a danger to Tustin.

She'll have a taste of the isolation they subjected Arthur to. Probably the father too.

Report says she's already been attacked in prison. Hopefully he has been too.

How would funding improved the visit already made to supposedly "investigate", Arthur bruise? How would extra money have made them examin him properly??

One of the things that really got to me was TH lying to little Arthur about going to his grandparents and then not. It makes me feel so sad and is plain cruel

What kind of sentence is considered for this type of conviction?

The time frame in which this happened is what shocks me most. His father went from living with him with his parents, to beating, starving, torturing and allowing someone else to do it too, all within weeks. They moved in when the first lockdown was announced which was late March (23rd?) and the first concerns were raised mid April. He was already being beaten then and talking about his father killing him. 3 weeks after moving in with ET. There’s no way a father just starts doing that. He was abusing him before. There’s no doubt in my mind.

One of the things that I found so upsetting, even amidst the appalling violence and pain these two inflicted on this beautiful child was that Tustin kept telling him he was ugly. She really hated him.

Some children are just doomed from the moment they come into this world. What a life. Chaotic upbringing. Incredibly tragic. Cannot read the full details like others have said on previous details, but can see he has suffered terribly.

And poor Arthur's biological mother was jailed for stabbing a delivery driver.

He was her on off partner who worked as a delivery driver. This almost makes it sound like she'd stabbed someone making a delivery

Fingers crossed the sentencing fits the crime. RIP beautiful Arthur. You will be in my thoughts for a long time.
