I've just utterly broken down for Arthur.

That’s what I thought. Her eyes are utterly utterly evil (like the rest of her). It’s quite chilling how she seems to have evil radiating from her in the mugshot.

She is a murderer and i hope she gets what’s coming to her in prison as I’d normally advocate the death sentence for her.

And shame on anyone who didn’t speak up, first lockdown was no excuse. How can they live with this on their conscience and didn’t speak up? Angry Sad

The news articles don’t mention the mother, is she on the scene?
She was in prison for murdering her partner. Hardly much better than these two evil people but you’d hope and think she was a good mother to her son (Arthur).

OP, thank you for starting this thread. I have been following the trial and I've been so affected by it. I didn't know that others had too. I can't believe he's gone and that he wasn't saved. He was so vulnerable and utterly let down by the adults around him. I haven't read a lot of the thread as it's just too sad.

They didn’t just video that starving poisoned boy begging for food, they videod him begging as she sat with her other children and they all ate their meals. There were her children there, watching his abuse,,eating in front of him.

I hope they both get long sentences. I do worry Hughes will be out fairly quickly. He is huge risk to others, he has a violent and nasty personality. A very dangerous man. Both of them should be sterilised. The whole case has made me feel utterly sick that people can be so evil.’
@Bagelsandbrie - I’m sure he’ll want to get his identity changed but I hope he doesn’t. Let the vigilantes go after the evil man and do the same or worse to him.

Apparently her legal team are requesting the prison service does more to protect her as she’s threatened daily and feels overwhelmed.

Overwhelmed! You couldn’t fucking make it up. She made sure no one was protecting that little boy. Yet she’s the balls to want protecting herself.

The prison service needs to let her rot.

I have to be honest, I sincerely hope both these people are horrifically tortured in prison every single day for the rest of their lives.

Every single day I want someone to feed them salt, starve them, make them stand for hours on end, beat them, abuse them, mock them, make them sleep on the cold floor, video them and let’s us all see. Every single day I want the other prisoners to do that to them, for the rest of their lives.

Just like they did every single day to that little boy. And I want them to live till a ripe old age in prison, taking that daily torture they inflicted, and then die a cold horrible lonely death as people video them and mock them like that little boy died.

It’s the only justice.

@Bluntness100 - I think most of us here want this and worse for them.

People need to remember other children are involved here. Her own children witnessed the abuse. They were in the house living with it and witnessing it. Videos of them eating fish and chips and McDonald’s as that little boy lay starving begging and in pain.

I assume her kids need to be given new identities and will need years of therapy. I don’t know how old they are, but this wasn’t a case of it was Arthur and his father and her in their alone abusing him. There were other kids there witnessing it.

Are social workers facing any backlash for yet another failure to protect a child?
Are the public facing any backlash for repeatedly voting in governments that have slashed social services' funding, and for not giving a fuck until something like this happens, at which point they rage about the services they have defunded for 5 minutes, then it's back to not giving a fuck?

when I heard a recording of Arthur's voice sobbing ''No one loves me'' on LBC radio , it ripped me from sleep like an Alarm. It was a primeval thing, a suffering child in great distress.

When I then heard Arthur had died the next day at the hands of the beasts, I started a thread on here, which was pulled immediately.

I think many, many people have been deeply upset about it.. The beast woman looks dead eyed and Evil, and the father looks a drip.

He probably was getting down and dirty sex with Tustin, and was led along by that, but social services are appalling.
What goes through their dozy, PC heads?
Why do they fail so often?

WHY??

Taking children away from toxic brutal situations is essential.

Are social workers afraid of the perpetrators of evil brutality? I think they must be.

What I don't really like is the "child torture" headlines that the daily mail keep printing on this case. It feels like they are nearly enjoying printing the worst aspects of this case.

Should people be allowed to see Arthur's bruised back? Is that right? Is it right that the daily mail keeps showing the picture of a bruised half naked Arthur at the top of their news page? Should a picture of a child's bruises be shown like that? Is that right?
Also the daily mail have put out the audio of Arthur saying "no one loves me". They did not do that out of concern. They did it to get people to come to their website.

Reporting on these cases also needs to be changed.

I complained about the Daily Mail on here www.ipso.co.uk/complain/complaints-form/ and they told me unless I was a relative of Arthur’s I couldn’t tell them not to print it.

i thought she was a murderer just as much as hughes right from when i first read it in the papers , they should get a whole life sentence ,but i bet they wont though

Me too - if only .I wish his Grandparents had gone round there with a few younger friends and wrestled Arthur away from them ,even if there was a fight it would have been worth it .

And then the police would probably have arrested them and returned the child as they had PR. Unless the authorities removed him, there is nothing anyone anyone else could do to save him.

This is all so true and a situation myself and my dh find ourselves in with dgs 6. Until we can get parental rights my daughter can turn up and just take him. Even though social services and school plus family and friends say he is better with us she still can do this and take him to live anywhere with her drug dealing boyfriend. Because she's not putting him in physical danger at the moment! But she neglects him and he's struggled with his mental health since he was on child protection from 8 months for nearly 3 years due to injuries inflicted from his now absent father. Everyone knows our grandson will thrive with us but until we find the money to apply to court for him we have absolutely no rights. Despite the fact I do all school runs, liaise with school regarding his mental health and our daughter visits once every few weeks and never phones him. The poor boy is having some serious issues. I dont understand. We didn't bring her up like this. But I won't see another Arthur happening here. I will be asserting everything I have to keep him safe. So I do feel for Arthur's grandparents and uncle its a horrible situation to be facing.

A chap on you tube who'd served years inside said both the killers of Arthur would serve their time on the ''Bacon'' wing and be protected by 'screws.'

Sounds likely, unfortunately.
Some Rough Justice needs to happen.

It says in the daily Mail that ET was pregnant with THs baby when she killed Arthur. Did that pregnancy not continue or has that baby been born?
She had an abortion

It's best not to listen to other inmates about the truth of what is or is not happening in the prisons. These people are hardly exemplary characters themselves are are attention seeking.

Rest in Peace dear Arthur.

Evil walks amongst us. In this case in plain sight, the so-called authorities should hang their heads in shame, yet again we hear ‘lessons to be learned’. Child cruelty on this level and yet no-one thought to investigate properly and remove Arthur from his living Hell. Utterly appalling.

As for his murderers, i have no words but I pray they get real justice in prison.
