Finally. We can say it.

I've just utterly broken down for Arthur.

He can’t ever have loved that boy. It can’t be possible to do what he did and let her do what she did to someone he ever cared for

Absolutely agree. He never had one ounce of love, or one ounce of humanity for that matter, towards that child. just how, how could they have allowed that.

The video of him in the living room, so weak and thin and the fact he immediately made his bed, or rather his pile of blankets on the floor. What six year old wakes up and immediately thinks they must make the bed, especially feeling as weak as he did. I fear the whole story is even worse than reported. They are pure evil, through and through.

MaryAndGerryLivingInDerry · 02/12/2021 19:56

In Birmingham live it says Arthur had been talking about his dad killing him for a year before his death, so yeah, I was right, TH was abusing him well before he even met ET.

Let down by his mum, dad, stepmum, the police, social services didn't stand a chance.

I'd add the government and SAGE to that list."

I'm confused, @HesterShaw1 why are you holding scientists reponsible?

DiscoHippo · 02/12/2021 19:56

Tustin won’t last in prison, and I doubt anyone will be losing sleep over that

Honkytonkyhonky · 02/12/2021 19:56

@stuckinarut21

That’s my next step

I couldn’t believe it when I found out they’d rang her,she denied it all then they put the phone down with ‘case closed’

They didn’t even speak to the kids, just took her word for it

I know she can come across as very charming when she wants to be and utter evil when she feels like it

but sod charming-these two are having their childhoods ruined and nobody wants to do anything/dig a bit/speak to them

I read on here ‘report if you have concerns’ and I have-endlessly

But,when and not if something happens it’ll be a case of ‘lessons will be learnt’

It’s utter bullshit

Arthur,star,Victoria,baby p,these two kids-how many more?

Strangeways19 · 02/12/2021 19:57

It is horrific, but unsurprising that the Social Services had the family under their radar yet didn't act, I used to work in that field and I was, and still am, amazed that there are not more child deaths quite honestly there is so much negligence most of the time its a matter of luck rather than good social work that this doesn't happen more often. Although I would say that this case, the school would have been fully aware (they don't always comply with child protections processes either). I just hope that they go down for a very long time, and are on licence for the rest of their lives, they certainly cannot be trusted around children ever.

AnAverageMum · 02/12/2021 19:57

It’s just fucking abhorrent. ‘Rest in peace’ makes my stomach churn. He was 6, a baby. A healthy baby, who should not be ‘resting in peace.’ He should be playing with his mates.

So fucking let down. Abuse most of us could never comprehend. Sick, sick emotionless creatures. I hope they suffer, I truly do. It’s such an injustice… he must of thought, why isn’t anyone helping me?

Poor, poor boy. The abuse is over, but it should never have been allowed. He should be alive. He should of been protected.

lollipoprainbow · 02/12/2021 19:58

Just seen the story on sky news, the police implying it was the fault of lockdown as no one was keeping an eye on him !! Beggars belief, cases like this were happening long before lockdown. Maybe if the police had been tougher in this case instead of running scared of the mother he might have been saved.

Hmm I wouldn't be so sure. Most of these evil women killers seem to get out with a new girlfriend in the process...
RainySnows99 · 02/12/2021 19:58

@MrsLargeEmbodied

i just wish he had run away
Me too - if only .I wish his Grandparents had gone round there with a few younger friends and wrestled Arthur away from them ,even if there was a fight it would have been worth it .
MrsDThomas · 02/12/2021 19:59

This is why hanging is needed. I have absolutely no shame in saying it.

DagenhamRoundhouse · 02/12/2021 20:02

He looked such a sweet little thing. I hope there'll be a big enquiry about this and how it can have happened in light of the people who warned authorities about him. Shades of Victoria Climbie.

the80sweregreat · 02/12/2021 20:03

They wouldn't dare have a referendum on hanging. It would be higher than vote leave
.. it'll never happen.
Instead the taxpayer will have to pay for these to breath the same oxygen we all do
Makes me sick.

Kpo58 · 02/12/2021 20:06

Me too - if only .I wish his Grandparents had gone round there with a few younger friends and wrestled Arthur away from them ,even if there was a fight it would have been worth it .

And then the police would probably have arrested them and returned the child as they had PR. Unless the authorities removed him, there is nothing anyone anyone else could do to save him.

Keyring · 02/12/2021 20:07

It's so tragic. like others have said, I cannot bear to watch the video. I hope they have a terrible time in prison - both of them. Ghastly, hideous, inhuman pair.

Lifeisaminestrone · 02/12/2021 20:07

What a horrendous case.

I don’t normally feel ill after reading the news but this sickened me (and still is). I couldn’t watch the video footage.

How is this allowed to keep continuing.
I cant comprehend the cruelty. That poor poor poor boy. Covid enabled many lazy people to

use it as an excuse for low levels of productivity. Social services needs serious review.

I will be giving big hugs to my little one tonight.

Mufasa1118 · 02/12/2021 20:07

What I don't really like is the "child torture" headlines that the daily mail keep printing on this case. It feels like they are nearly enjoying printing the worst aspects of this case.

Should people be allowed to see Arthur's bruised back? Is that right? Is it right that the daily mail keeps showing the picture of a bruised half naked Arthur at the top of their news page? Should a picture of a child's bruises be shown like that? Is that right?
Also the daily mail have put out the audio of Arthur saying "no one loves me". They did not do that out of concern. They did it to get people to come to their website.

Reporting on these cases also needs to be changed.

MrsDThomas · 02/12/2021 20:09

@the80sweregreat exactly. Keeping cunts like this alive seriously boils my piss.

I don't think you are confused. It's clear what I meant.

The government was warned that lockdowns would have a detrimental effect on the vulnerable. They caved in to the pressures to lock down by scientists who were utterly focused on Covid to the exclusion of everything else.

And actually I'd add the NCPCC and Barnado's to the list for staying quiet about what they knew must have been happening behind closed doors all over the country.

This child was failed by everyone. And he's not the only one who will have suffered horrifically.

Poor children. Poor Arthur. He was let down so badly.

Mufasa1118 · 02/12/2021 20:11

I also don't really understand why people are so shocked about this case. Hundreds of children have been killed by their caregivers in the UK, in the last couple of years. Did people forget the other children so quickly? What is more shocking about this case?
Death of a child occurred in all those other cases too.

icelolly12 · 02/12/2021 20:12

I'm happy to keep them alive, death is the easy way out, but I do not think a cozy room with comforts like tv or warm food, and abilities to socialise and build relationships should be awarded to child abusers and child murderers. They deserve a cold, concrete hole in the ground to reflect on their evil.

HesterShaw1 · 02/12/2021 20:13

Yes they were, but they were enabled by the fact that vulnerable children were kept away from the eyes of adults outside their own home.

Vulnerable children were the collateral damage in the quest to "save the NHS".

Sickening.

Bluntness100 · 02/12/2021 20:13

Every few months there is another horrific case of child abuse. Prolonged inhumane levels of child abuse. Where social services were involved. Four times they received reports. Four times they walked away. And as usual they issue the statement “lessons will be learned”

How many fucking lessons do these people need? How many emaciated bruised miserable scared children do they need to see before they have learned a lesson?

When you get a report of abuse you don’t just ask the abuser. You fucking ask the child. And you keep asking. And you should be intelligent and trained enough to spot abuse. You don’t just phone their abuser and ask if they are abusing, of course they are going to say no.

And if you’re incapable, of seeing a child like that little boy and knowing he’s being abused, then you should quit immediately as you’re part of the problem and you are also culpable.

These cases should never ever get to this stage, but four reports. A starving brutalised scared little boy.

And social services walked away.

Bluntness100 · 02/12/2021 20:16

On a positive note apparently she’s being abused and threatened in prison.

Sadly it’s clearly not enough, she needs to suffer like she made that little boy suffer, but no matter their crimes, there is enough people in prison with morals over this and hopefully they are both dealt with every single day,
