Who do you hate yourself for fancying?

I am listening to the various covers of Time after Time (after watching hearing it on an advert), and found a Ronan Keating version.

I remember being so disappointed in him having an affair with a backing dancer back in the day, and though so much less of him because of it.

Listening to his version of Time after Time just fluttered something in my stomach awakening an old crush I had in my teenage years. He was beautiful and I loved his voice (but he did a fucking selfish thing which pissed me off massively at the time).

I'm afraid I am with the Dominic Raab people.

No shame in fancying Jurgen Klopp though ❤️

FantasticButtocks · 16/11/2021 23:55

Des O'Connor. Yes, really Grin

Justleaveitblankthen · 17/11/2021 00:00

Ant Middleton and Noel Gallagher. Mainly because as far as I know they are both very happily married ( as if they are any more available to me if they weren't 😂 )
Oh, I'll nip in with a quick Richard Maydeley while I'm here then 🤭

Justleaveitblankthen · 17/11/2021 00:02

Madeley ( so bad, I named him twice 🤐 )

Anordinarymum · 17/11/2021 00:05

@Fetchthevet

Lawrence Fox. I know, it's terrible isn't it?Only physically though, I don't like his personality.
Did you see him on Celeb Gogglebox with his cousin? There is something about that guy !
Anordinarymum · 17/11/2021 00:06

Ken Stott

johnnytightlips · 17/11/2021 00:11

Chris Mason from BBC breakfast, i have no idea why, he is not what I would normally go forBlush

Max Bloody Branning
The actor is really nice irl, you could do worse! (Far worse in fact, compared to some people here)
Garriet · 17/11/2021 00:24

Oh I’m another Aramis crusher.
Used to fancy Craig Charles in Red Dwarf too, absolutely cringe at that now. Worse, though, was that I had a bit of a thing for Boris Johnson back in his HIGNFY days.
Also Paul Nicholls. Not the ex-Eastenders actor. The racehorse trainer. Until someone pointed out he looked like my old boss.
Nowadays I’m quite fond of David Mitchell and an awful lot of fictional characters including Garrus from Mass Effect (see attached)

verymiddleaged · 17/11/2021 00:39

Lawrence Fox, I know he is total dick.
I loved watching him in Lewis. I was gutted when he turned out to be an unpleasant loon.

LadyGAgain · 17/11/2021 00:45

Ioan gruffudd
For obvs reasons

SallyAnn32 · 17/11/2021 00:56

Jack Grealish is insanely hot and has done no wrong other than being bought for stupid money by a football club!

Armie Hammer on the other hand...

Anystarinthesky · 17/11/2021 01:52

Dan Cruickshank. He is an Art Historian who is often on BBC 4 if you haven't heard of him!

Monkeytennis97 · 17/11/2021 01:54

@Giggorata

Oh gods, Gene Wilder. Can't explain that one… I hasten to add, I’ve got a lot of more conventional crushes.
Totally understand that one.
MrsAvocet · 17/11/2021 02:00

I've been wondering whether I dare confess, but for me it's Michael Portillo. I know. I'll get my coat...

TicTacHoh · 17/11/2021 02:16

Ed Balls

ButYouGottaHaveASkillJeff · 17/11/2021 05:20

@TokyoSushi

Oh also Gary Lineker and Toto Wolff from F1, much less shameful, although quite a lot older than me!

Absolutely nothing wrong in fancying Toto Wolff, he's an absolute dream (even if I am a Red Bull fan).

Confuciusornis · 17/11/2021 06:22

@Sparklebrandy

Piers Morgan. I know.
No!!!! What?!?! Can you talk us through this at all?
Belledan1 · 17/11/2021 06:44

I am the same as you OP. I loved Ronan and saw him in concert many times but went right off him when he had the affair.

Belledan1 · 17/11/2021 06:46

Sorry hit send too soon but thought have handsome he is still on the one show.

Redcrayons · 17/11/2021 06:47

In always had a bit of a crush on him in my younger days. I realised when he died recently he looks a bit like my dad 😱
LadybirdDaphne · 17/11/2021 06:56

@MenoMom

Bill Bailey is not a weird crush - he's so warm and witty!

I had a very sad crush on the Red Wiggle back in the day, but grew out of it - I thought he'd be a bit contolling and moved my affections onto Captain Feathersword, the bad boy crony of the Wiggles. Saw them in concert twice, for my daughter of course.

I fancied the red wiggle (Simon) too, after a dream where he was a very domineering vampire. Similarly got fixated on David Morrissey after a dream where he was initiating me (sexily) into a weird cult. My nighttime brain is a weird place.
