Some very interesting traffic heading to Scotland for Cop 26.

PRES101 from Aerolinas Argentinas appears to be about to land at Prestwick.

Private jet LNX29KG also en route to Glasgow.

The helicopter isn't going the right way on the tracker for me lol, or going a long way to the airport! Who knows, but I suppose the tracker isn't 100% accurate on the exact location

ReginaaPhalange · 02/11/2021 21:39

Oh wait ignore that, the helicopter won't be allowed to fly right above the airport, right? Lol!

notimagain · 02/11/2021 21:40

Looks like A Ryanair flight is going to escape before it all gets completely locked down.

Coastguard has just popped up on the runway!

There's a flight due to land from Inverness in 5 minutes

amusedbush · 02/11/2021 21:50

I'm watching the helicopter that left Glasgow for Edinburgh. It looks like the pilot took them to see the Forth bridges, they flew over and then turned back south toward Edinburgh. Currently heading for the Pentlands.

NigelSlatersXmasTaters · 02/11/2021 21:51

Towards Dalmahoy

amusedbush · 02/11/2021 21:51

Oh, they've turned, heading to the airport now!

notimagain · 02/11/2021 21:54

There’s a KLM inbound from the south - he’s interesting to see if they have to hold or not…

Biden isn't in the helicopter though.

It was just escorting his motorcade.
It's been circling around the airport.

fuckyourpronouns · 02/11/2021 21:56

The Inverness plane hasn't landed either. Still circling the airport... wonder if he's ready to leave?

There's a small plane from Inverness that doesn't seem to have been allowed to land.
ReginaaPhalange · 02/11/2021 21:56

@notimagain it's changed course by the looks of things

amusedbush · 02/11/2021 21:56

@HadEnoughOfBears

I wasn't sure who was in the helicopter, to be honest! That makes sense though - it looks like it has been zig-zagging all over the place.

ReginaaPhalange · 02/11/2021 21:58

The other plane is a flight from Birmingham.... wonder if that will do the same as the klm flight

Any flightradar 24 geeks?
notimagain · 02/11/2021 21:58

Yep, KLM has taken up the hold so presumably AF1 departure is imminent..

Amusedbush On my app the helicopters data/position has appeared to have been corrupt for a while now..

ReginaaPhalange · 02/11/2021 22:01

Birmingham flight doing the same now

NigelSlatersXmasTaters · 02/11/2021 22:01

Yeah the helicopter is just following him in the car. He's not actually up there

ReginaaPhalange · 02/11/2021 22:03

Twitter claiming if you follow the route of the helicopter, it looks like the driver missed the turning for the airport. It does appear that way if you follow the trail

There's a back way in to the airport near Kirkliston, I just assumed they had used that on purpose Grin
notimagain · 02/11/2021 22:06

Looks like we’ll shortly have three aircraft holding south of the airport, burning fuel, all to facilitate the departure of somebody who had attended a conference about climate change, emissions, etc……

ReginaaPhalange · 02/11/2021 22:06

@HadEnoughOfBears actually yes you are right there!! It's direct onto the runway too so that'll be the way they are going!!

A few planes circling now

notimagain · 02/11/2021 22:07

Shortly to be four holding Hmm

ReginaaPhalange · 02/11/2021 22:10

Soon to be 5!!!
