Terrible Christmas present ideas.

Every year my cousin and I try to buy each other the worst Christmas presents we can think of. It all started about 15 years ago with a calendar - her majesty's prisons of Great Britain.

Since then there have been many others:
Nicholas cage cushion
Pat butcher wall clock
A vomit scented candle
A giant wearable pugs head
A membership to a dogging club (fake!) to welcome his new wife to the family
Reindeer threesome hat
Eagle/wolf underwear
Etc

Anyway I need inspiration this year! We all have kids now so I'm trying to stay on the clean side of things, but anything weird or wonderful you could recommend?!

My SIL once gave me a wrapped up pocket packet of kleenex -amongst other small items she had probably sourced from the bottom of her handbag/kitchen drawer -- how about going one better and wrapping a bog roll?

You might get lucky with the regional selection too.

I was given a glass eye as a birthday present. I don’t need a glass eye.

I wouldn’t say it’s the worst present I’ve ever received, but it was certainly the most unexpected.

Brilliant! 🤣
Snowisfallinghere · 29/10/2021 15:51

Oh yeah I love the idea @ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba suggested. The personalised name mug. But it could also be any really naff mug or ornament from a charity shop. A tacky souvenir from a holiday you haven't been on, a commemorative teapot from a royal wedding, etc. It's also more eco friendly to get your gag gifts from a charity shop like this too Grin

Twinstudy · 29/10/2021 15:52

Pretty much anything off Facebook marketplace should do. A beautiful glittered wine glass that you can neither drink from nor wash with a small glittered bottle of blossom hill rose maybe. Should only set you back about 30 quid or so.

Beat me to it! Grin I give one to my friend every year, they never disappoint!

@Snowisfallinghere

mugs with "World's greatest grandma" or "Best Dad" would also be good if the recipient isn't those things.

Elllicam · 29/10/2021 15:56

I love the dashboard Jesus

Jaxhog · 29/10/2021 15:56

Some of the ones I've had:

Readers Digest DIY Manual
Sprout flavoured chocolate (twice)
Mad Penguin lady mug (liked that one)
Plastic glass 'jewels'
