@girafferafferaffe

Well done op. I have severe dental phobia and have avoided the dentists for over 10 years (until last week and I cried like a baby at them). You did it 💜
Aww bless you. But it sounds like you did it to. 💪 my fear bottle's up inside do does not show . So it feels like dentist don't actually believe I have a fear. But the dentist I'm with now is nice does not seem to judge. Probably because I'm paying 🤣.

You have definitely done well though. I hope your OK

I have got away with it quite lightly and just need some fillings. Which is currently keeping me up at night thinking about needles in my mouth.

I think you're amazing. I'd have a full on mental breakdown if it was any worse.

I hope you start to feel a bit better when the swelling goes

They charge about £280 to put you out :( I can't really afford it. I took diazepam for my check up but I didn't feel any different

I'm thinking I need to ask about if I need to get some sort of insurance.

I went back to the dentist today to check healing. Etc. I have a bit of pointy bone sticking out . It not sharp but you can see the white just under the gum. He did adust the denture and put some special cushion stuff in so they are better to wear . But the bit of bone that's sticking out a bit is rubbing on the denture so it hurts Sad

I never realised how long it was going to take in January they will fit the implants into the gum. And they have to heal fully before anything can be attached plus there is my top teeth to deal with . Probably talking a year Sad

I started my journey in October 2020, I will not be signed off until January 2022.

Interesting about the bone! I had that too. It did eventually fall out. If you think about it, so far you have had all your teeth removed and there is nothing for the bone to adhere to so it may well also fall out of it's own accord. Once they put your titanium posts in and screw on the dentures, then your bone will grow again. Mine has.

Imatramp1 · 27/10/2021 09:05

Oh maybe its common then. Mine has no where to go its inside the gum. But just kind of showing through but not actually breaking through the gum hard to explain 😅

And yes it does seen to be around the 2 year mark for me time it comes to an end.
