Stilton, pear & rocket. Just had for my lunch. Yum.

Other ‘gourmet’ cheese sarnies…..

Wensleydale, carrot and apple

Brie and grape

Red Leicester grated and mixed with mayo and purple spring onions

If it really must be cheddar, then it has to be strong vintage stuff, with a fancy tomato or plum relish

Any other cheese snobs?

@NofuPancake I hear you -- my DH is a cheesemonger. Processed cheeses are the work of the devil apparently...

Grated mature cheddar, cherry tomatoes and salad cream on crusty white.

Simple but delicious.

Truffle brie on olive bread, toasted open-top, with a drizzle of truffle honey on it.

Double truffle ftw.

FreddieLounds · 04/09/2021 15:46

Or mozzarella, beef tomato slices, fresh basil, and a drizzle of balsamic in a warm baguette.

Gotthetshirt23 · 04/09/2021 15:47

Isn't geese savoury often in the chilled section with tuna mayo , coronation chicken etc ?

Gotthetshirt23 · 04/09/2021 15:47

CHEESE no geese HmmGrin

Hellocatshome · 04/09/2021 15:48

geese savoury doesn't sound that nice but cheese savoury sandwich filling is normally in the same place as the tuna mayo etc

TheWeatherWitch · 04/09/2021 15:49

Grated mature cheddar, chopped spring onion and mayonnaise on granary bread.

NotMyCat · 04/09/2021 15:51

Cheese savoury on cheap white buttered bread with ready salted crisps wedged inside it
Bliss

3GreenPullups · 04/09/2021 15:54

I had to google cheese savoury. Like PPs said it is basically cheese and onion deli-filler. Yum.

(Although calling something 'deli-filler' is not as exotic as cheese savoury. Like how my mother calls seafood sticks 'fish extender' as she used to use it to eke out prawns in prawn anything! Grin

Tana433 · 04/09/2021 16:07

Im practically addicted to a cheese called Burner. I dont know whether it is available everywhere or just where i am in the northwest but we buy great wedges of it from our local market. With salad on a fresh baguette it packs just enough chilli punchness to get you through the day.

dalismoustache · 04/09/2021 16:19

Feta, Wensleydale or a good goat's cheese with beetroot on white crusty bread - mmm!
