How many horses do you have?

Just interested because a lot of people on mumsnet seem to have horses

I used to have one on part-loan, but she went back so currently I have 0 horses

We have a couple of schleich ones. Along with a donkey and a longhorn bull.

I don’t have a horse but I do have arse like Arkle.

I don't own any horses but I do have riding lessons.

I'd love my own horse but it's too expensive and time-consuming.

I do have an ornament in the shape of a shire horse that sits on top of my glass display cabinet. Does that count? Or my crazy cocker spaniel?

510 with 25 yet to be born. However, they are all virtual horses on a game. In real life, I have none.

Mine died 21 years ago and I gave up riding BUT I've just booked my first riding lesson since then for the end of September!

1 walking vet bill here . DH has varying percentages in about 5 racehorses (where the walking vet bill came from……)

I have one. Here she is this morning enjoying herself at the beach. I was not the rider. I was at work earning the money to pay fo isr her keep while someone else gets all the fun realises I've got the shit end of the deal!

You specifically asked about horses, so only the two. Dsds horse and anything 14.2 and under don't count for this poll. So I definitely only have two horses

I'm not going to plead poverty, but I'm nowhere near as wealthy as multiple equines would imply. I keep them at home, do everything myself and don't have anything that was particularly expensive up front. I've had them all my life and experience and hard work save a fortune, both in buying and keeping. I bet they cost me less to keep than a novice adult and child with a safe first horse and pony on a decent yard.

Well, except for the oldie that costs more in both time and money now than they did to compete affiliated, but that's only because I'm lucky enough to still have them around.

I had an imaginary horse when I was a child. She was called Flicka. She had a real stable and grooming tools, I even made her a nose bag.

It makes me laugh when people think people who have horses are rich and glam. That's about 1% of the riding population.

The ones you see on TV or in Jilly novels (which I love).

The rest of us are normal or indeed poker than you'd think as they are very expensive to keep.

Ir forgo lots of things people on here would think of as necessities to have a horse and so do most people I know.

I'm always covered in mud, hay, horse poo.
